  • • Join Fundraise Up as a UX Researcher and play a pivotal role in elevating the quality, speed, and impact of our product research initiatives. You will be instrumental in shaping high-trust donation and fundraising experiences that empower nonprofits globally to amplify their impact.
  • • This dynamic role seamlessly blends classic UX research methodologies with Product Discovery principles, enabling you to explore new markets, segments, and innovative product opportunities. You will navigate both B2C (donor-facing experiences) and B2B (nonprofit/organization-facing workflows) contexts, gaining a holistic understanding of our user ecosystem.
  • • You will own research initiatives from inception to completion, taking a project from the quarterly plan, defining the research brief, meticulously crafting the methodology, conducting the research, performing in-depth analysis, synthesizing findings, presenting actionable insights, and driving the implementation of recommendations.
  • • Your expertise will be crucial in selecting the most appropriate research method for each unique challenge. Whether it's conducting in-depth interviews, performing usability tests, executing concept tests, deploying surveys, undertaking desk research, or performing competitive scans, you will choose the method that best aligns with the level of uncertainty, business objectives, and project timelines.
  • • You will be responsible for the end-to-end operational setup of research activities. This includes securing access to necessary tools and data, managing participant recruitment and scheduling, coordinating session logistics, ensuring thorough note-taking, handling recordings, and maintaining comprehensive documentation, all with a high degree of autonomy and minimal oversight.
  • • Act as a vital cross-functional connector, proactively gathering hypotheses, insights, and context from various teams including Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Analytics. You will then translate this valuable input into well-defined, testable research questions that address critical business needs.
  • • Maintain a close connection with product analytics, continuously monitoring dashboards and reports. You will collaborate with data analysts to identify anomalies, pinpoint user drop-off points, formulate hypotheses based on data, and prioritize research efforts to validate these hypotheses.
  • • Your primary output will be actionable insights that stakeholders can leverage immediately. This includes delivering key findings, facilitating decision-making, highlighting trade-offs and risks, and providing clear, evidence-based recommendations supported by compelling user quotes, video clips, and relevant metrics.
  • • Cultivate a deep understanding of existing knowledge by regularly reviewing past research, previous studies, and competitor insights. Synthesize this information to establish a baseline understanding before embarking on new research endeavors, ensuring efficiency and avoiding redundancy.
  • • Serve as the unwavering advocate for our users, ensuring their needs, behaviors, and constraints are consistently represented and prioritized in product development decisions, moving beyond subjective opinions to data-driven understanding.
  • • You will be empowered to utilize AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate the synthesis process. This includes leveraging AI for generating research guides, transcribing notes, identifying themes, drafting survey questions, and creating summaries, all while maintaining your critical human judgment and rigorous methodological standards where they matter most.
  • • Embrace the role of a knowledge curator and disseminator. You will proactively monitor internal learnings, track market and competitor movements, and identify high-signal UX and product trends. Regularly share these updates with the team to ensure everyone remains informed, current, and aware of potential blind spots, fostering a culture of continuous learning and strategic awareness.
