📋 Description

• • Serve as a bilingual Uzbek-English Video-Phone Interpreter, facilitating real-time verbal interpretation between Uzbek and English speakers across multiple industries including healthcare, 911, law enforcement, court, government, insurance, finance, education, and business.
• • Conduct interpretation sessions via video and audio platforms using a dedicated personal device such as a laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate rendering of messages without omissions or additions.
• • Maintain professional demeanor and neutrality during all interpreting sessions, especially during high-stress or emotionally intense calls such as end-of-life discussions, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, or matters involving sexual orientation and gender expression.
• • Respond promptly to on-demand interpretation requests, adhering strictly to client protocols and avoiding unauthorized interaction with Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals.
• • Utilize industry-specific terminology and procedures in medical, legal, financial, and emergency service contexts while maintaining precision and clarity in both languages.
• • Participate in mandatory online, video, and audio training sessions to develop interpreting skills, stay updated on industry standards, and adapt to new technology enhancements implemented by LanguageLine Solutions.
• • Type data accurately and efficiently on company-provided devices during interpreting sessions to fulfill essential job functions.
• • Ensure a quiet, secure, and distraction-free home office environment at all times during work hours to maintain confidentiality and interpretation quality.
• • Remain calm and composed under pressure, including during prolonged calls with no breaks, high call volumes, or when speakers are incoherent or distressed.
• • Demonstrate cultural competency by recognizing regional dialects, accents, and cultural nuances to improve communication effectiveness with LEP individuals.
• • Follow all company policies regarding data security, confidentiality, and technical usage, including compliance with ASTM and ISO certified interpreting environments.
• • Uphold professional ethics by avoiding personal bias, maintaining strict confidentiality, and refraining from offering advice or opinions during interpretation sessions.
• • Meet punctuality requirements and remain available during scheduled work hours to ensure consistent service delivery.
• • Adhere to all technical specifications, including minimum internet requirements: download speeds of 5 Mbps, upload speeds of 3 Mbps, ping under 300 ms, and jitter under 30 ms.
• • Operate a headset for extended periods and maintain prolonged stationary positioning in front of a computer and webcam throughout the workday.
• • Possess sufficient manual dexterity to type or write, and ability to operate company-provided software systems.
• • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, including background checks and drug screening as mandated by state or local laws post-offer.
