  • • Own full-cycle sales for high-quality video datasets used to train and evaluate AI models, with direct responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • • Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise and mid-market opportunities across AI labs, media companies, and video-focused enterprises, balancing inbound, outbound-supported, and self-sourced leads.
  • • Engage technical stakeholders including data scientists, ML engineers, and AI researchers to understand their video data needs for model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
  • • Translate complex technical requirements around video data quality, labeling, scale, and privacy into clear commercial proposals and scope of work (SOW) agreements.
  • • Position Protege’s platform as a solution to challenges in data availability, annotation accuracy, and compliance for video-centric AI workflows.
  • • Sell value-added data enrichment and managed services that enhance dataset suitability for specific AI model objectives, including bias mitigation, temporal alignment, and multimodal integration.
  • • Develop deep expertise in how video data is utilized across AI/ML workflows, identifying repeatable use cases and patterns within the video vertical.
  • • Collaborate with the Video GM, Data Lab, Delivery, and Product teams to scope custom solutions, align on pricing, and refine offering packaging based on market feedback.
  • • Partner with outbound BDR and marketing teams to execute targeted account strategies and amplify outreach to high-potential prospects in media and AI ecosystems.
  • • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving legal, content, product, and data governance teams to secure buy-in and close deals.
  • • Contribute directly to go-to-market strategy by sharing insights on customer pain points, competitive dynamics, and evolving demand signals in video AI data.
  • • Maintain consistent pipeline velocity by generating 20–30 discovery conversations per month and converting 8–12 opportunities into active deals by day 60.
  • • Close initial deals within 90 days, establishing a repeatable motion for core video data use cases such as autonomous vehicle perception, video captioning, and content moderation.
  • • Provide ongoing feedback to Product and Commercial Ops to improve sales collateral, pricing structures, and customer onboarding processes based on real-world interactions.
  • • Act as a subject matter expert on video data’s role in multimodal AI systems, including the interplay between video, text, and audio datasets in training robust models.
  • • Operate with full ownership in a fast-paced, build-stage environment where ambiguity is common and outcomes are defined by execution, not process.
  • • Drive vertical expansion by identifying new customer segments, use cases, and partnerships that accelerate adoption of Protege’s video data offerings.
  • • Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene, ensuring accurate forecasting, stage progression, and win/loss analysis to inform sales strategy and leadership decisions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of enterprise or mid-market sales experience
  • • Experience selling into AI, data, media tech, and/or video-related industries
  • • Strong understanding of how data is used in AI/ML workflows, particularly for training models
  • • Proven ability to generate pipeline and close deals in a fast-paced environment
  • • Ability to engage both technical stakeholders (data science researchers, etc.) and business leaders
  • • Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in a build-stage environment
  • • Experience selling SOW, SaaS, and Managed Services-oriented offerings
