- • Serve as a Vice President in Accordion’s Strategic Finance Practice, leading cross-functional teams to deliver financial consulting solutions for private equity-backed portfolio companies.
- • Design and implement structured financial reporting processes that aggregate reliable data sets to establish a single source of numerical truth for CFOs and private equity sponsors.
- • Collaborate with CFOs, private equity sponsors, and operating teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs), validate business drivers, and develop monthly Board and management reporting packages.
- • Automate financial reporting workflows using Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and PowerBI to transform complex datasets into user-friendly, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- • Lead diagnostic deep dives into budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to identify root causes of inefficiencies and recommend data-driven corrective actions.
- • Quarterback comprehensive budget planning initiatives by coordinating across FP&A, sales, operations, and senior leadership teams to align financial plans with operational realities.
- • Build and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts by integrating inputs from multiple departments and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial projections.
- • Design and implement a unified finance function following corporate acquisitions, including defining organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and headcount alignment across consolidated entities.
- • Select, configure, and implement ERP systems tailored to the needs of newly combined businesses to standardize financial reporting, budgeting, and bank reporting processes.
- • Develop detailed, week-by-week training plans for finance team members to ensure seamless adoption of new tools, processes, and reporting standards.
- • Create standardized analytical tools and template reporting frameworks that enable sustainable, scalable financial operations post-engagement.
- • Train and mentor existing FP&A teams to own and operate newly implemented processes, ensuring long-term client capability building.
- • Manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, balancing hands-on execution with project leadership responsibilities.
- • Deliver clear, succinct, and comprehensive presentations and memos that translate complex financial data into strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders.
- • Operate in a hybrid model with flexibility to work remotely two days per week, based out of Boston, Chicago, Dallas, or New York City office locations.
- • Engage directly with private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership to understand investment thesis alignment and drive value creation initiatives within the office of the CFO.
- • Maintain the highest professional standards in client interactions, project delivery, and team collaboration across a flat, entrepreneurial organizational structure.
- • Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit by taking initiative, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and contributing to the growth of Accordion’s practice.
- • Lead by example, mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture rooted in accountability and excellence.
