đź“‹ Description
- • As the Vice President of Finance at FundraiseUp, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial future of our rapidly growing global fundraising platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead and mentor a high-performing team of eight professionals across Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Strategic Finance. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will not only manage financial operations but also serve as a strategic advisor, translating complex operational data into actionable insights that drive long-term value creation and support our ambitious growth trajectory towards $200 million+ in revenue.
- • You will be the principal financial architect, responsible for developing and executing robust financial strategies that align with our company's mission to make donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding FundraiseUp through its next phase of expansion, ensuring our financial infrastructure is scalable, efficient, and capable of supporting our global reach and increasing transaction volumes.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to provide strategic financial leadership as a key member of the senior leadership team. You will bring a critical financial perspective to all major business decisions, including but not limited to, geographic expansion initiatives, potential mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and strategic product pivots. Your insights will help the executive team navigate complex opportunities and challenges, ensuring financial viability and maximizing shareholder value.
- • You will take ownership of board and investor relations, leading the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial narratives. This includes developing clear, compelling stories supported by data for our Board of Directors and external investors, fostering confidence and transparency in our financial performance and future outlook.
- • A significant focus will be placed on transforming the FP&A function from a primarily reporting-driven operation into a sophisticated predictive engine. You will lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP), ensuring these are tightly integrated with our 3-5 year strategic roadmap. This involves building advanced financial models that forecast future performance, identify key drivers, and highlight potential risks and opportunities.
- • You will act as a strategic partner to the Go-To-Market (GTM) Executive Leadership Team, working collaboratively to optimize our “Growth Engine.” This involves deep dives into marketing, product, customer acquisition, and sales productivity metrics to identify opportunities for driving efficient revenue growth and improving customer lifetime value.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing the accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. You will also be responsible for cash flow management, treasury functions, and developing robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- • You will play a critical role in scaling our financial systems and processes. This includes evaluating and potentially implementing new financial technologies, moving beyond startup-level tools to a more sophisticated, scalable platform that can support our growth and provide enhanced analytical capabilities.
- • Mentoring and developing your team will be paramount. You will foster a culture of high accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the finance department, empowering your team members to reach their full potential and contribute effectively to the company's success.
- • This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can not only manage current financial operations but also anticipate future needs and proactively build the financial capabilities required for sustained, high-growth success in the dynamic fintech and nonprofit technology sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a high-impact leadership role within a venture-backed or private equity-backed environment.
- • Proven ability to look beyond the P&L to identify business drivers and risks, with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics and complex financial modeling, preferably including consumption-based models.
- • Mastery of US GAAP, complemented by deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
- • Experience in scaling financial infrastructure and systems, including transitioning from startup tools to more robust platforms like NetSuite, Campfire, or similar.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance with significant company contributions (100% for employees, 80% for employee + dependents, 70% for employee + family).
- • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options.
- • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) package including 20 vacation days, 5 sick days, 11 company holidays, and 1 floating holiday.
- • 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match.
- • 100% Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
- • Paid parental leave: 12 weeks for primary caregivers and 6 weeks for secondary caregivers.
- • Generous home office stipend to create an optimal remote work environment.
- • Annual professional development stipend to support continuous learning and career growth.
- • Charitable giving program and paid volunteer time off with registered non-profits.
