Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • • As the Vice President of Human Resources at Drawbridge, a rapidly growing cybersecurity and GRC platform serving private equity firms and financial institutions, you will be instrumental in shaping and scaling the company's people infrastructure during a pivotal growth phase. Backed by Francisco Partners and with approximately $30M in ARR, Drawbridge is poised for significant expansion, and this role is central to ensuring our people strategy fuels that success.
  • • This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned HR leader to build and refine foundational HR processes while providing strategic guidance and hands-on operational support to a dynamic, remote-first organization. You will act as the senior HR leader, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and serve as a trusted advisor to the entire executive team.
  • • Your primary focus will be to align the company's people strategy, culture, and operations with overarching business objectives and ambitious growth targets. This involves a dual mandate of strategic thinking and tactical execution, ensuring that every aspect of the employee experience supports Drawbridge's mission and values.
  • • **HR Strategy & Executive Partnership:** You will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, offering expert counsel on people strategy, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and fostering overall organizational health. This includes developing and implementing frameworks for talent development, succession planning, and performance management. You'll act as a critical sounding board for the CEO, tackling complex people-related and organizational challenges with confidence and insight.
  • • **HR Operations & Compliance:** A core responsibility will be to ensure Drawbridge remains in strict compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and continuously improving HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook to reflect best practices and evolving legal landscapes. Furthermore, you will oversee and optimize HR systems and infrastructure, including HRIS and ATS, to maximize operational efficiency and support the needs of a scaling organization. This role also involves preparing HR infrastructure for potential future investment rounds or exit scenarios, ensuring diligence readiness.
  • • **Employee Relations & Manager Support:** You will serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing expert guidance on conflict resolution and performance management. A significant part of your role will involve coaching and mentoring leaders and managers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage their teams and ensure consistent, fair application of company policies across the organization.
  • • **Performance Management & Talent Development:** You will lead the evolution of our performance management processes, potentially incorporating advanced tools like talent assessments and nine-box reviews to identify and nurture talent. A key objective is to identify high-potential employees and collaborate with leadership to create targeted development opportunities. You will also play a crucial role in building leadership capabilities throughout the company, ensuring we have a strong pipeline of effective leaders.
  • • **Talent Operations & Recruiting Support:** While not solely a recruiting role, you will oversee recruiting operations to guarantee an exceptional candidate and onboarding experience. You will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership on strategic workforce planning, ensuring we attract and retain the talent needed for future growth. This includes coordinating recruiting processes and potentially managing relationships with external recruitment partners.
  • • **Culture & Organizational Health:** A vital aspect of this role is reinforcing and nurturing a high-performance culture that is deeply aligned with Drawbridge's core values and growth objectives. You will collaborate with leadership to enhance employee engagement, improve retention rates, and foster transparent communication channels. You will also champion company initiatives designed to strengthen collaboration and cultivate a positive culture within our remote-first environment.
  • • This position requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable diving into operational details while maintaining a strategic perspective. You will leverage your strong business acumen to partner effectively with executives, communicate with confidence, and provide thoughtful counsel. Your high emotional intelligence will be essential in navigating complex interpersonal dynamics, and your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive in our lean, growth-oriented environment.
