Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Lead the global marketing strategy for a clinical-stage oncology company that is redefining precision medicine. As Vice President, Marketing, you will sit at the intersection of science, commercialization, and patient impact, translating breakthrough kinase-selective therapies into clear value propositions for clinicians, payers, and—ultimately—people living with cancer.
  • • Own the end-to-end marketing vision from pre-launch through life-cycle management. You will architect integrated brand plans, omnichannel campaigns, and congress strategies that position Nuvalent’s pipeline (currently spanning ALK, ROS1, and other high-value targets) as the new standard of care in molecularly defined tumors.
  • • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing marketing organization. Starting with a lean but growing team, you will recruit top talent across product marketing, digital engagement, market insights, and creative services while fostering a culture of scientific curiosity, data-driven decision-making, and fearless innovation.
  • • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial Operations to ensure seamless alignment between clinical data generation and external narrative. You will translate complex translational science into crisp, compliant messaging that resonates with academic thought leaders, community oncologists, and global health authorities alike.
  • • Drive rigorous market intelligence and forecasting. You will commission primary and secondary research to map patient journeys, competitive whitespace, pricing corridors, and unmet need, feeding insights directly into portfolio strategy and corporate prioritization.
  • • Oversee congress presence at ASCO, ESMO, AACR, and regional hematology/oncology meetings. From satellite symposia to immersive booth experiences, you will orchestrate high-impact scientific storytelling that maximizes share-of-voice and accelerates adoption among key prescribers.
  • • Champion digital-first engagement. You will modernize Nuvalent’s HCP and patient touchpoints through precision targeting, closed-loop marketing, and AI-enabled content personalization—always anchored in privacy-compliant data practices and measurable ROI.
  • • Steward the brand architecture and naming strategy for multiple late-stage assets. Working closely with IP counsel and regulatory agencies, you will secure trademarks, manage global name testing, and ensure consistent nomenclature across markets and indications.
  • • Serve as the commercial voice on the executive leadership team. You will present quarterly to the Board of Directors, contribute to fundraising narratives, and represent Nuvalent at investor conferences, articulating how marketing excellence underpins long-term enterprise value.
  • • Instill a patient-centric ethos throughout every campaign. By collaborating with advocacy groups and incorporating real-world patient perspectives, you will ensure that marketing initiatives not only drive adoption but also advance health equity and improve quality of life for underserved populations.
  • • Establish KPIs and dashboards that track brand health, share growth, and customer satisfaction. You will iterate rapidly, leveraging agile sprints and A/B testing to optimize messaging, channel mix, and resource allocation in real time.
  • • Navigate the evolving regulatory landscape for oncology promotion. You will maintain deep expertise in FDA, EMA, and PDMA guidelines, ensuring that all materials meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy, fair balance, and ethical promotion.
  • • Foster external scientific partnerships and co-marketing alliances. Whether through investigator-sponsored trials, joint symposia, or real-world evidence collaborations, you will expand Nuvalent’s reach and credibility within the global oncology community.
  • • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning. You will sponsor attendance at marketing academies, oncology boot camps, and leadership development programs, ensuring that every team member grows alongside Nuvalent’s ambitious pipeline and expanding footprint.
