  • • As Vice President of Marketing at Buildout, you will lead the development and execution of the company’s overall marketing strategy with a focus on demand generation and customer marketing, reporting directly to the CEO and owning a team of 4+ direct reports to drive revenue, retention, and product adoption across new and existing customers.
  • • You will develop a comprehensive marketing vision and strategy aligned with company goals, lead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing initiatives, and build team competency in AI-driven activities, web and SEO/GEO, paid media, email marketing, automation, and other direct marketing channels while partnering with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to implement account-based and retention marketing programs.
  • • You will manage internal marketing resources, external vendors, and the marketing budget to accomplish goals, educate the Sales team on demand generation’s role in customer acquisition and expansion, and generate regular reporting on key metrics for internal leadership and investor communications.
  • • In demand generation, you will guide the creation and execution of compelling campaigns, optimize performance using KPIs, experiment across email, paid digital, social, and in-person channels, standardize processes for efficiency and repeatability, and partner with cross-functional leaders to develop sales tools and analyze market trends to refine strategy.
  • • You will own lead generation targets by working closely with Product and Sales to segment ideal customer profiles, establish budgets and quantitative goals for top-of-funnel activities, identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and implement database management best practices to ensure data integrity and market reach.
  • • You will monitor campaign performance and KPIs to ensure marketing spend drives revenue, adopt an AI-first approach to increase execution capacity, collaborate with Revenue Operations to refine Marketing Operations and instrument key metrics, measure marketing’s impact on customer growth, retention, and financial outcomes, and coordinate a consistent brand experience across all campaigns.
  • • Buildout is the AI deal engine for commercial real estate (CRE) brokerages, automating workflows from first contact to commission and trusted by over 50,000 brokers to power more profitable deals from lead to close, offering a unique end-to-end platform that enables significant value for new customers adopting the full suite and existing customers upgrading their packages.
  • • The Marketing team operates within a high-impact, innovative culture where you’ll solve challenging problems with a committed and supportive team invested in your growth, encouraged to bring your whole self to work in a fully remote environment with monthly reimbursement and annual in-person kickoff events.
  • • In this role, you will achieve measurable marketing ROI through data-driven decision-making, scale marketing operations in a high-growth SaaS environment, develop leadership expertise in B2B and B2C marketing integration, and drive strategic initiatives that directly influence revenue, customer retention, and market leadership in the CRE technology space.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven success leading marketing for software/technology brands across organizational growth stages, including managing and developing teams with 4+ direct reports.
  • • Minimum 10 years of B2B SaaS marketing and sales experience; B2C sales and marketing experience is a plus.
  • • Demonstrated expertise in delivering measurable marketing ROI with deep knowledge of database marketing, SEO/GEO, analytics/segmentation, media planning, and all forms of digital and offline marketing.
  • • Strong track record of leveraging data and marketing analytics to generate insights, optimize campaigns, and improve sales, profitability, and marketing ROI.
  • • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing and motivating diverse stakeholders, presenting to executives, customers, and agency partners, and thriving in collaborative, problem-solving environments.
  • • Assertive yet collaborative leadership style, with a commitment to high pace of achievement, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to balance ambition with personal well-being.
