• • As the Vice President of Product Management for Access Management at Okta, you will be at the forefront of defining and executing the product strategy for a critical component of Okta's Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. This pivotal role involves leading a talented team of product managers responsible for a broad spectrum of technologies, including authentication protocols, multi-factor authentication (MFA), login experiences, device access, and customer identity solutions.
• • You will be instrumental in shaping the future of how billions of users securely access digital resources every month, powering the experiences of Okta's vast customer base, ranging from individual developers to large enterprises.
• • In a dynamic, hyper-growth environment, your primary responsibility will be to guide the Access Management product management team in making strategic roadmap prioritization decisions. This will be informed by a deep and nuanced understanding of customer needs, emerging market trends, and the competitive landscape, ensuring Okta remains the leader in identity solutions.
• • You will foster strong, collaborative partnerships with leaders across other product management teams, design, program management, engineering, finance, and marketing. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for executing the overarching vision of providing secure access to everyone, while rigorously preventing unauthorized access.
• • A key aspect of your role will be to proactively identify strategic areas and determine the necessary levels of investment required to achieve company objectives. This includes continuously analyzing build, license, and buy opportunities across the entire Access Management portfolio to ensure optimal resource allocation and strategic advantage.
• • You will leverage a combination of data-driven insights and extensive experience to make critical decisions daily, empowering teams and removing roadblocks. Furthermore, you will be expected to formulate and present bold, well-reasoned recommendations to senior company leadership, influencing the strategic direction of Okta.
• • Leading the Access Management product management team, you will oversee the creation of effective product requirements that facilitate iterative customer value delivery. This involves ensuring that product releases are aligned with market needs and deliver tangible benefits to users.
• • You will be responsible for publishing and effectively communicating the product vision and roadmap to internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, to the broader market. This ensures alignment and buy-in across the organization.
• • Close collaboration with Access Management engineering leadership is paramount. You will work hand-in-hand to translate product strategy into actionable engineering plans, ensuring efficient and effective product development.
• • You will support the product management team in their engagement with developers at all stages of their journey, from hobbyists to large enterprise developers. This continuous engagement is crucial for delivering ongoing value and accurately assessing product priorities.
• • Working collaboratively with product designers and researchers, you will contribute to increasing market awareness and understanding of Okta's Access Management solutions, ensuring our offerings resonate with target audiences.
• • You will play a lead role in defining the roadmap sourcing strategy, evaluating and recommending 'Build x Buy x Partner' approaches to accelerate innovation and market penetration.
• • Monitoring the business impact of the Access Management portfolio, including ROI, pricing strategies, and profit margins, will be a key performance indicator. This ensures the commercial success of the product line.
• • Partnering closely with go-to-market teams on product launches will be essential to ensure successful market introductions and adoption of new features and products.
• • You will continuously monitor the team structure and investment levels within the Access Management product organization, providing data-backed recommendations for optimizations and improvements.
• • In a leading capacity, you will partner with Program Management and Engineering leadership in both quarterly and annual planning cycles, ensuring strategic alignment and resource allocation.
