- • Serve as a Virtual Neurologist providing ambulatory and consultative neurology services entirely remotely from home.
- • Conduct one-hour first-touch telemedicine visits for new or urgent ambulatory neurology patients, aiming for access within two weeks of initial patient contact.
- • Perform comprehensive virtual neurological examinations, including detailed history-taking and clinical impression, to establish diagnostic plans.
- • Order appropriate diagnostic workups such as CT, MRI, EEG, and EMG to prepare patients for subspecialty referrals.
- • Triage patients efficiently to the correct neurology subspecialist or care pathway based on clinical findings.
- • Build trust with primary care clinicians through clear, timely documentation and communication of patient assessments and recommendations.
- • Provide inpatient neurology consultations at ChristianaCare Union Campus via a dedicated TeleDoc video cart, averaging 2–3 new consults and 2–3 follow-ups per shift.
- • Respond to neurology-related questions from the Cecil Emergency Department and collaborate with ED teams to guide patient management.
- • Work on a predictable 7-on/7-off shift schedule with no stroke call or EEG reading responsibilities.
- • Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and coordination of patient care across ambulatory and inpatient settings.
- • Partner with on-site liaisons at Cecil Campus who manage all TeleDoc cart logistics, allowing full focus on patient care.
- • Deliver patient-centered, empathetic, and confident virtual care that enhances patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- • Maintain clinical excellence across both outpatient and inpatient neurology domains with broad general neurology expertise.
🎯 Requirements
- • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- • Board eligible or board certified in Neurology (ABPN)
- • Strong clinical skills in both ambulatory and inpatient neurology settings
- • Comfort with virtual patient examinations and telemedicine platforms
- • Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland
- • Telemedicine experience preferred
- • Epic EMR experience preferred
