- • Record high-quality Welsh voice samples for AI language model training, ensuring flawless diction, articulation, and consistent audio quality.
- • Deliver voice samples with specific vocal qualities: bright, sultry, ASMR/soft intimate delivery, and expressive, conversational tone — avoiding monotone delivery.
- • Adopt a voice persona that is friendly, empathetic, attentive, and helpful, aligned with human-like interaction standards for AI training.
- • Maintain stable rhythm, tempo, pitch, and amplitude across all recordings to meet technical benchmarks for machine learning datasets.
- • Use a professional or high-quality home recording setup including a microphone, audio interface, headset/speakers, and a Digital Audio Workstation with plugins.
- • Record in a treated acoustic environment free from background noise, music, clicks, muffling, or any audio interference.
- • Follow precise technical requirements for file naming conventions, audio format, volume levels, gaps between segments, and sample duration.
- • Submit demo recordings or voiceover samples as part of the application and be prepared to complete a technical test on Lilt’s platform.
- • Accept and complete fast-turnaround voice tasks with tight deadlines when engaged, requiring reliable daily availability.
- • Commit to a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week when active on projects, with work availability dependent on project demand.
- • License your voice for AI voice cloning and text-to-speech (TTS) training purposes as part of the project scope.
- • Operate as an independent contractor with full autonomy over scheduling — no fixed hours, no check-ins, no micromanagement.
- • Ensure compliance with all geographic and legal restrictions; no engagement permitted in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions.
- • Be responsible for your own tax obligations, equipment maintenance, and software licensing as a 1099 contractor.
- • Contribute to global AI language technology projects that advance multilingual communication between humans and machines.
- • Access diverse, innovative projects that expand your portfolio and deepen your expertise across domains and industries.
- • Earn recognition as a top contributor through higher payment rates, priority project access, and visibility within Lilt’s global linguist community.
- • Participate in a streamlined onboarding process including application submission, sample review, equipment verification, and payment setup.

- • Access to professional-grade home recording equipment (microphone, audio interface, DAW, treated space)
- • Ability to follow strict technical audio specifications (format, volume, gaps, naming)
- • Willingness to license voice for AI voice cloning and TTS training
- • Reliable availability for 2+ hours per day or 10+ hours per week when engaged
