- ⢠As the Vice President of Customer Onboarding at R1 RCM Inc., you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for driving successful revenue cycle operational transitions for large healthcare organizations, directly impacting client financial performance and patient experience through expert change management and process optimization.
- ⢠You will partner closely with the Customer Executive team to align operational initiatives with financial objectives, ensuring seamless onboarding experiences that deliver measurable improvements in revenue cycle efficiency, denial reduction, and cash acceleration for hospitals, health systems, and medical groups.
- ⢠In this role, you will act as a change agent and thought leader, helping to shape R1âs solution strategy by sharing best practices, identifying optimization opportunities, and leading transformative change across complex healthcare environments.
- ⢠You will build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of revenue cycle professionals, fostering leadership growth and operational excellence while owning end-to-end accountability for customer transition timelines, budgets, and P&L outcomes.
- ⢠Your expertise will be critical in establishing common goals across hospital departments, creating cross-functional alliances, and driving adoption of new workflows, technologies, and processes to ensure sustainable success post-implementation.
- ⢠You will contribute to R1âs strategic direction as a content expert, providing insights from the front lines of customer operations to inform product development, service enhancements, and go-to-market strategies.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Minimum 12 years of progressive operational experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in increasingly senior leadership roles demonstrating a proven track record of success in driving complex operational improvements.
- ⢠Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale change management initiatives, including guiding healthcare organizations through difficult transitions involving new processes, workflows, technology systems, or organizational structures.
- ⢠Strong project management discipline with proficiency in Excel and experience using tools such as Asana, MS Project, or similar platforms to manage timelines, resources, and deliverables across complex initiatives.
- ⢠Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with C-suite executives (including CFOs and COOs), build trust, and align diverse stakeholders around common operational and financial goals.
- ⢠Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites as needed to support onboarding efforts, lead workshops, and ensure successful adoption of R1âs solutions.
- ⢠Deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycle functions, including patient access, coding, billing, claims management, denial prevention, and payment posting, with the ability to diagnose inefficiencies and prescribe evidence-based solutions.

- ⢠Competitive base salary range of $173,519.37 to $280,035.56 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications, reflecting the seniority and impact of this leadership role.
