📋 Description

• Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide patient engagement strategies to ensure every patient is identified, treated, supported, and cared for equitably across Avalere Health’s advisory, medical, and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Advisory, Medical, and Marketing teams to forge unconventional connections that remove healthcare barriers and eliminate patient disparities.
• Design and implement data-informed engagement frameworks that align with organizational goals of reaching every patient possible, with measurable impact on patient outcomes and access.
• Drive innovation in patient-centric communication and outreach models by leveraging insights from diverse patient populations and healthcare ecosystems.
• Partner with global teams to adapt engagement strategies across regional and cultural contexts while maintaining alignment with Avalere’s unified mission.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on patient engagement trends, emerging healthcare dynamics, and opportunities to expand equitable care delivery.
• Oversee the integration of patient feedback loops and real-world evidence into strategy refinement cycles to ensure continuous improvement and responsiveness.
• Champion inclusive engagement practices that reflect Avalere’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring strategies resonate with underrepresented and marginalized communities.
• Work closely with Employee Network Groups (Diverse Ability, Family, Gender, LGBTQ+, Mental Health, Race/Ethnicity) to embed lived experiences into engagement design and program development.
• Lead the evaluation of engagement program effectiveness using defined KPIs tied to patient identification, treatment adherence, and care support metrics.
• Foster a culture of psychological safety and belonging by ensuring engagement strategies empower employees to bring their whole selves to work and contribute meaningfully to patient impact.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, advocacy organizations, and payers, to co-create scalable patient engagement solutions.
• Align engagement initiatives with Avalere’s Fertility Friendly employer status, ensuring family planning and parental support considerations are integrated into workforce and patient outreach strategies.
• Provide mentorship and leadership development to engagement team members, encouraging global, cross-capability career growth and internal mobility.
• Ensure all engagement strategies comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards while prioritizing patient privacy and data integrity.
• Represent Avalere Health at industry forums, conferences, and partnerships to elevate the organization’s thought leadership in patient engagement and equitable healthcare access.
• Maintain flexibility in work location as the role is remote (US), with occasional in-person collaboration at major hubs in Washington, D.C., or New York as needed for team alignment or client engagements.
• Support Avalere’s accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme by ensuring all engagement programs are accessible and inclusive for neurodiverse individuals and those with long-term health conditions.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading patient engagement or healthcare access strategy at a senior level in a healthcare advisory, consulting, or life sciences organization
• Demonstrated success in designing and scaling cross-functional, data-driven patient engagement programs with measurable impact
• Deep understanding of healthcare disparities, equity frameworks, and inclusive design principles in patient outreach
• Strong track record of influencing senior leadership and aligning diverse teams around a unified patient-centric mission
