- • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external borrowers to ensure seamless communication throughout the mortgage loan process.
- • Provide expert guidance to borrowers by clearly explaining loan programs, costs, terms, and all applicable loan documentation, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
- • Review and audit complete mortgage files including income verification, asset documentation, credit reports, W-2s, bank statements, and court orders to validate loan eligibility and stability.
- • Perform pre-underwriting tasks to support loan approval by analyzing financial data and identifying missing or insufficient documentation.
- • Generate and deliver accurate mortgage disclosure packages, including rate disclosures and re-disclosures, ensuring regulatory compliance and borrower transparency.
- • Manage a diverse loan pipeline encompassing Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage products, tailoring each structure to the borrower’s unique financial situation.
- • Utilize DU (Desktop Underwriter) and LP (Loan Prospector) systems to evaluate loan risk and determine optimal loan programs based on borrower profiles.
- • Ensure all loan files meet regulatory standards under RESPA and other federal and state mortgage consumer protection laws.
- • Input and configure loan data into the Encompass LOS system to accurately reflect borrower needs, program terms, and disclosure requirements.
- • Maintain strict attention to detail in reviewing loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to submission for underwriting.
- • Prioritize and manage multiple loan files simultaneously to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and borrower satisfaction.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to resolve documentation issues and expedite loan approvals.
- • Apply strong analytical and mathematical skills to assess borrower financials and recommend the most suitable loan product.
- • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to explain complex financial terms to borrowers in clear, accessible language.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving mortgage regulations, industry best practices, and company-specific lending policies.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 3-5 years of residential mortgage processing experience
- • Valid mortgage licensing required to communicate loan programs and costs with borrowers
- • Experience with Encompass LOS
- • Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and federal/state mortgage regulations
- • Proficiency in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows
