📋 Description

• VP of Engineering at Bankjoy Inc., a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partner backed FinTech startup revolutionizing digital banking for community banks and credit unions.
• Lead four engineering value streams (Banking Core Integration, Business Banking, Vendor Integration, Client Analytics) and own the quality engineering framework across all eight streams, driving automation, AI adoption, and release discipline.
• Join a mission-driven, fast-paced startup transforming financial institution technology infrastructure with modern digital banking products including mobile banking, online account opening, loan origination, and conversational AI.
• Shape engineering culture by building high-performing teams, implementing AI-assisted development, establishing quality gates, and driving systemic improvements through cross-functional collaboration with product, support, and release teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 4 years in engineering leadership managing engineering managers and senior individual contributors
• Deep background in quality engineering with proven experience building or rebuilding automation frameworks in multi-platform environments (web and native mobile — iOS and Android)
• Demonstrated success driving a cultural shift from manual-heavy to automation-first QA in fintech, banking, or similarly regulated environments
• Experience implementing release gate processes and enforcing go/no-go decisions under schedule pressure
• Hands-on experience with modern automation tooling (Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Maestro, or equivalent) and familiarity with Angular, Swift, and Kotlin environments
• Experience driving AI coding tool adoption across engineering teams to change culture and productivity
