- • As VP of Engineering, Platform & Architecture at Optro Inc., you will lead the transformation of the company’s platform and architecture to support its evolution into an AI-native connected risk and GRC platform, directly impacting engineering velocity, product innovation, and customer outcomes.
- • You will own strategy and execution across platform product, platform engineering, and architecture, driving modernization of core systems including application, service, and data layers, while ensuring architectural decisions enable business value rather than remain theoretical.
- • You will lead efforts to modernize the Permissions/Access platform (Permission 2.0), define API and integration strategy, and build shared data services that support roll-up reporting, AI insights, and cross-domain workflows across Audit, Risk, Compliance, and future domains.
- • You will partner with AI, Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to ensure platform capabilities are adopted broadly and tied directly to product and customer outcomes, turning foundational work into a competitive advantage.
- • You will lead and mentor an architecture team to ensure it drives delivery and business value, avoiding ivory tower tendencies by aligning technical strategy with execution and team enablement.
- • You will reduce dependency on legacy monolithic patterns through pragmatic transition strategies, accelerate CI/CD and testability, and establish clear API and data strategies that support ecosystem growth and extensibility.
- • You will help Optro innovate faster, embed AI effectively, and differentiate in the market by shaping the technical foundation of a category-defining GRC platform for the AI era.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience leading major platform modernization or re-architecture efforts in a scaling enterprise SaaS company
- • Demonstrated success evolving legacy or monolithic systems into scalable, modular architectures
- • Ability to balance long-term architectural quality with near-term business needs in a pragmatic, outcome-oriented manner
- • Experience owning shared services in enterprise B2B SaaS, including access/permissions, APIs/integrations, and data platforms
- • Track record of building high-performing teams and transforming legacy technical environments through collaborative leadership
