đź“‹ Description
- • As the VP of Patient Services at Hippocratic AI, you will serve as the company’s definitive authority on patient services operations, translating deep operational expertise into AI-powered solutions that transform how pharma manufacturers and their partners support patients across the product lifecycle. This role is critical to Hippocratic AI’s mission of building the world’s first healthcare-only, safety-focused LLM, ensuring that our platform reflects real-world patient services workflows and delivers measurable outcomes in access, adherence, affordability, and nursing support.
- • You will define and own the patient services use case roadmap, mapping end-to-end workflows with operational precision—including benefits verification, prior authorization, copay and affordability programs, hub intake and triage, specialty pharmacy coordination, nursing support, adherence programs, and patient and caregiver engagement—and develop detailed solution architectures that align AI agent behaviors with real-world clinical and administrative workflows.
- • You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Medical Affairs to translate patient services insights into detailed requirements, workflow specifications, and acceptance criteria, ensuring that AI solutions are built with compliance guardrails, escalation logic, and integration fidelity that reflect the complexities of live hub and specialty pharmacy environments.
- • You will act as the primary external subject matter authority, engaging pharma executives in enterprise sales conversations, executive workshops, and partner discussions to build credibility, validate use cases, and differentiate Hippocratic AI from competitors lacking hands-on patient services experience.
- • You will develop training materials, internal knowledge bases, and market intelligence resources that elevate organizational expertise, mentor cross-functional teams, and position Hippocratic AI as a thought leader in AI-enabled patient services through published content, conference presentations, and advisory forum participation.
- • You will drive market intelligence by tracking regulatory developments, payer policy changes, and competitive landscape shifts—including direct-to-patient models and manufacturer-owned dispensing—to translate emerging trends into strategic platform opportunities that align with revenue potential, deployment feasibility, and strategic differentiation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7-15 years of hands-on experience in patient services, hub operations, specialty pharmacy, patient access, or related functions within pharma services, pharma manufacturers, or healthcare services organizations.
- • Deep operational knowledge of patient services workflows including benefits verification, prior authorization, copay and affordability programs, hub intake and triage, specialty pharmacy dispense and distribution, adherence programs, and clinical nursing support.
- • Direct experience building, managing, or designing patient services programs—not just selling into or advising on them externally.
- • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with senior pharma executives (VP, SVP, C-suite) across patient services, market access, commercial operations, and brand leadership.
- • Experience translating operational knowledge into solution design, product requirements, or technology platform capabilities.
- • Strong understanding of the patient services vendor and partner ecosystem including hub providers, specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, and field reimbursement and nursing organizations.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to shape the future of healthcare AI at a category-defining company backed by $404M in funding and a $3.5B valuation from leading investors including Avenir Growth, CapitalG, General Catalyst, a16z, Kleiner Perkins, and others.
- • Work alongside physicians, AI pioneers, and leaders from institutions like Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and NVIDIA who are building world-changing technologies focused on safety and patient outcomes.
- • Hybrid work model with expectation of five days/week in Palo Alto office to foster deep collaboration, rapid iteration, and strong team culture in a high-growth, mission-driven environment.
- • Clear path to impact: define how AI transforms patient services during a once-in-a-generation inflection point in how manufacturers support patients across the life sciences value chain.
- • Access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure (Polaris constellation LLMs with over 99.9% accuracy) and the chance to deploy solutions with 5 of the top 20 global pharma companies already contracted.
- • Professional growth through mentorship, internal knowledge building, and thought leadership opportunities at industry events, conferences, and advisory forums focused on patient services and specialty pharmacy.
