📋 Description

• As a Vulnerability Disclosure Analyst at Flashpoint Intel Inc., you will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and documenting cybersecurity vulnerabilities to support the company’s VulnDB product and enhance threat intelligence for commercial and government clients.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing vendor security advisories, researching vulnerability reports, monitoring mailing lists, product changelogs, news articles, bug trackers, code commits, and exploit databases to identify legitimate vulnerabilities and author detailed entries—this core task constitutes approximately 80% of your workload.
• You will join a global team of cybersecurity experts dedicated to delivering timely, high-quality vulnerability intelligence through the Flashpoint Ignite platform, which empowers organizations to reduce risk and improve resilience against evolving threats.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in vulnerability analysis, gain hands-on experience with threat intelligence workflows, provide mentorship to junior analysts, and collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to solve customer challenges and ensure technical accuracy.

🎯 Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of common security software and hardware vulnerabilities and attack vectors, including deep familiarity with the OWASP Top 20.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, cryptography, and authentication protocols.
• Experience with scripted languages (preferably Python3) and compiled languages (preferably C) to identify vulnerabilities in code.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, access controls, privilege levels, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
• Experience conducting security testing, vulnerability and network scanning, and penetration testing.
• Background in vulnerability exploit development and familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques.
