Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead and inspire a high-performing warehouse team across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping functions. Coach, mentor, and provide real-time feedback to unlock individual potential and drive collective results that exceed customer expectations.
- • Own the end-to-end operational budget for the facility—forecasting labor, equipment, and consumables in lock-step with sales projections and seasonal demand spikes. Deliver cost savings without compromising service quality or safety.
- • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies. Analyze WMS data, labor reports, and KPI dashboards to identify bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, and increase throughput while maintaining 99.9 % inventory accuracy.
- • Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Conduct daily huddles, monthly audits, and quarterly training to ensure full compliance with OSHA, SQF, and Lineage’s internal standards in environments ranging from –20 °F frozen storage to 100 °F dry zones.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Inventory Control, Transportation, Finance, HR, and Continuous-Improvement teams to synchronize inbound receipts, outbound shipments, and customer-specific value-added services such as labeling, kitting, and repacking.
- • Optimize space utilization and slotting strategies to maximize cubic capacity, reduce travel time, and support rapid SKU proliferation. Reconfigure layouts seasonally to accommodate temperature-controlled and ambient products under one roof.
- • Own labor planning and scheduling for a Sunday 8 AM–completion and Monday–Thursday 12 PM–completion shift pattern. Flex staffing levels daily to absorb volume surges, minimize overtime, and maintain service-level agreements with major grocery and e-commerce clients.
- • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer service issues—resolving order discrepancies, coordinating emergency shipments, and communicating proactively with stakeholders to protect Lineage’s reputation for reliability and speed.
- • Leverage advanced WMS functionality (wave planning, task interleaving, cycle counting) to drive system-directed workflows and real-time inventory visibility. Recommend system enhancements and collaborate with IT on testing and roll-out.
- • Prepare and present weekly performance scorecards to senior leadership, highlighting KPI trends, root-cause analyses, and corrective-action plans. Use storytelling and data visualization to secure buy-in for capital investments and process changes.
- • Foster an inclusive, respectful workplace where every team member feels valued and heard. Promote diversity initiatives, lead recognition programs, and ensure compliance with Lineage’s Equal Employment Opportunity policies.
- • Stay abreast of emerging technologies—autonomous mobile robots, voice-directed picking, IoT temperature sensors—and evaluate ROI for phased implementation that keeps the facility at the forefront of cold-chain innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of progressive warehouse operations or direct warehouse management experience in high-volume, multi-temperature environments
- • Demonstrated proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint storytelling, Outlook scheduling)
- • Proven leadership track record—hiring, training, and motivating teams of 20+ associates across multiple shifts while achieving KPI targets
- • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs (18 kg) routinely and work in conditions ranging from –20 °F (–28 °C) to 100 °F (37 °C) while wearing company-provided PPE
- • Flexibility to work a Sunday 8 AM–completion and Monday–Thursday 12 PM–completion schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays as business demands
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $68,500–$123,300 plus annual bonus eligibility tied to individual and company performance
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance starting day one of employment
- • 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid time off, and a minimum of seven paid holidays per calendar year
- • Clear career progression—success in this role opens pathways to multi-site, regional, and corporate leadership opportunities within Lineage’s global network
