- • Wealth Management Professionals - AI Residency (Part-time) at Frontier AI Research offers a unique opportunity for senior financial experts to engage directly with cutting-edge AI systems in high-stakes financial contexts, bridging institutional investment expertise with advanced machine learning research.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and iterating realistic prompts to test AI-generated insights, comparing human versus machine judgment in advisory scenarios, designing frameworks that translate complex wealth management practices into AI challenges, and constructing expert benchmarks using real-world portfolio analyses and client advisory materials to evaluate AI performance.
- • The role is situated within Mentis AI, a collaborative team based in London and San Francisco that combines deep asset management experience from firms like Lazard and Partners Group with AI research, working alongside leading AI labs to improve model reasoning in financial decision-making.
- • Participants will gain hands-on exposure to how AI is transforming advisory workflows, contribute to pioneering research at the intersection of wealth management and AI, and develop practical skills in guiding AI systems toward more accurate, context-aware financial reasoning—positioning them at the forefront of innovation in private client advisory.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Advisor, Portfolio Manager, or CIO at an RIA, private bank, or family office
- • Experience managing complex client relationships with meaningful AUM ($5M+ households preferred)
- • Deep familiarity with asset allocation, manager selection, alternatives, tax-aware investing, and estate/trust planning considerations
- • Ability to articulate investment rationale and financial planning strategy clearly and concisely in writing
- • CFP, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent designation a plus
- • Genuine intellectual curiosity about the application of AI in wealth management and private client advisory
