Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end development of UpGuard’s public-facing website, translating ambitious design and growth objectives into a lightning-fast, pixel-perfect, and conversion-oriented experience that is viewed by thousands of security professionals every day.
- • Architect, build, and continuously refactor both the front-end and back-end of our web stack, currently powered by Netlify, Astro, and a headless CMS, ensuring sub-second load times, rock-solid security, and effortless scalability as traffic and content volume grow.
- • Partner daily with designers, content strategists, SEO specialists, and demand-generation marketers to launch new pages, interactive tools, pricing calculators, and campaign microsites that directly influence pipeline creation and brand perception.
- • Implement and evolve a component-driven design system in Astro/React, enforcing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), responsive breakpoints, and performance budgets so every release looks flawless on every device.
- • Instrument robust analytics and A/B testing frameworks (Google Analytics 4, Segment, Optimizely) so the team can measure impact, iterate rapidly, and make data-backed decisions that improve conversion rates and user engagement.
- • Optimise CMS workflows for non-technical stakeholders—streamlining content modelling, preview environments, and publishing approvals—so marketers can ship new pages in minutes, not days.
- • Champion modern DevOps practices: automated CI/CD pipelines, branch-based deployments, feature flags, and rollback strategies that keep the site stable while shipping multiple times per day.
- • Contribute to the technical roadmap by researching emerging web standards, evaluating new frameworks, and spearheading proof-of-concepts that keep UpGuard at the forefront of SaaS web development.
- • Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to embed security best practices—CSP headers, dependency scanning, SAST/DAST checks—into every build, ensuring our site is both a showcase and a fortress.
- • Mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and lunch-and-learn sessions, fostering a culture of craftsmanship, curiosity, and continuous improvement across the marketing tech team.
- • Monitor Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores, and real-user metrics, turning performance budgets into shared OKRs that align engineering excellence with business outcomes.
- • Support international expansion by engineering i18n infrastructure, regionalised content delivery, and locale-specific SEO optimisations that let UpGuard speak fluently to prospects on every continent.
