📋 Description

• As a Web Engineer in Forward Deployed Engineering at GrowthX AI Inc., you will be a key contributor to building AI-powered products and workflows that directly impact high-growth B2B clients such as Lovable, Vercel, Ramp, Airbyte, and Augment. This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation and full-stack web development, where you’ll design and ship real, production-grade applications under client domains — not internal tools — turning AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes. You won’t just write code; you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of features that integrate LLMs, APIs, data models, and user-facing interfaces, all while working closely with clients to understand their technical and business context.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building full-stack features from database migrations to deployed UIs using React, TypeScript, and Rails; designing and implementing AI workflows with Output.ai to orchestrate LLMs, process data, and automate complex tasks; integrating AI agent outputs into client products in ways that are intuitive, performant, and maintainable; collaborating directly with client teams to grasp their stack, goals, and product vision, ensuring your work aligns with their brand and user experience; writing clean, testable, and well-documented code that emphasizes system thinking over pixel-pushing, with a focus on data integrity, domain modeling, and architectural simplicity; and continuously improving your craft by learning from real-world AI applications, open-source contributions, and cross-domain challenges across multiple industries.
• You’ll join a small, high-autonomy, remote-first team where founders, engineers, and delivery leads work side by side without layers of management. GrowthX AI operates on a philosophy of ‘Think First, Build Second’ — valuing deep context, clear writing, and architectural integrity over rapid output. The company has scaled from concept to eight-figure revenue since 2024, backed by a $12M Series A from Madrona Venture Group, and serves over 60 clients ranging from startups to industry leaders. • In this role, you’ll develop rare expertise in deploying AI into real products — a skill set increasingly critical as enterprises seek to operationalize LLMs beyond chatbots. You’ll gain hands-on experience with Output.ai, an open-source AI workflow framework, and learn how to architect systems that are resilient to non-deterministic AI behavior. You’ll also deepen your full-stack capabilities across JavaScript and Rails ecosystems, improve your client-facing communication and product thinking, and build a portfolio of shipped, client-branded products that demonstrate end-to-end ownership. 🎯 Requirements

• Strong full-stack web development skills with proficiency in React, TypeScript, and the ability to build database-backed features from migration to deployed UI.
• Experience working in the JavaScript ecosystem with a pragmatic approach to tooling — favoring simplicity and avoiding over-engineering unless necessary.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflows, including understanding how to integrate LLMs into production systems and critically evaluate AI-generated code.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, async environment, with strong written communication skills to share plans, progress, and context clearly.
• Experience with or willingness to learn Rails, particularly for its strengths in domain modeling and server-side architecture.
• Background in agency or web studio environments where you’ve shipped products across multiple clients and domains, or equivalent end-to-end product delivery experience.
