- • Wheelchair Driver responsible for transporting passengers to medical facilities and home within a defined mileage radius, ensuring safe, timely, and professional service.
- • Operates vehicle safely following traffic laws, inspects vehicle maintenance, completes trip sheets, and adheres to company policies and regulatory standards.
- • Part of Modivcare’s transportation team providing essential non-emergency medical transport services in Sagadahoc County, ME, with part-time and full-time opportunities available Monday–Saturday, 4:00AM–8:00PM EST.
- • Opportunity to develop customer service, route navigation, vehicle safety, and documentation skills while contributing to accessible healthcare access for community members.
🎯 Requirements
- • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- • Valid driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle type with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations or accidents.
- • In-depth knowledge of local area routes and ability to use maps or GPS for efficient, safe navigation.
- • Excellent driving skills to handle various road and weather conditions, with customer-service orientation and strong communication abilities.
- • Physical fitness and stamina for long hours of driving, including ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull loaded wheelchairs up to 300lbs.
