Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Administer and maintain Windchill PLM 12.x environment including server monitoring, queue management, lifecycle governance, OIRs, ACLs, and publishing workflows (WVS/CAD workers)
- • Own end-to-end administration of engineering applications: Creo, AutoCAD, Ansys/Fluent, MATLAB, viewers, and plug-ins including packaging, deployment, updates, and client configuration
- • Enforce engineering data standards by maintaining start parts, templates, parameters/relations, naming/numbering rules, and WTPart–EPM link integrity
- • Ensure clean metadata and resolve data quality issues to minimize rework and failed loads in the PLM system
- • Manage publishing pipelines for Creo View and neutral formats (STEP, JT, 3D PDF), troubleshoot and resolve publish failures to ensure reliability and speed
- • Support ECAD/MCAD integrations via IDX/STEP and handle REST/WRS/OData calls for downstream ERP handoffs and system interoperability
- • Administer FLEXlm and other license servers: create/modify license files, track usage, right-size seat counts, and support audits and renewals
- • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripts for client rollouts, log collection, system checks, and workflow streamlining
- • Collaborate with IT and Identity & Access Management (IAM) teams to implement SSO/SAML, manage certificates, and enforce least-privilege access controls
- • Plan, test, and execute upgrades to CAD applications, Windchill, patches, and hotfixes using documented runbooks and change management processes
- • Provide L3 user support for workspace corruption, check-in/out failures, failed analyses, and publishing errors; create and deliver training materials and user guides
- • Support cloud-based CAD environments on GCP, Azure, or AWS including CAD workers and HPC/solver queues for CAE jobs; monitor performance and cost efficiency
- • Maintain system availability targets: ≥99.9% Windchill uptime and ≥98% publish success rate
- • Optimize system performance by reducing check-in/out latency, minimizing queue backlogs, and ensuring stable application launches
- • Drive data quality by reducing repeat incidents and mean time to resolution (MTTR) while improving user adoption and reducing “how-to” support tickets
- • Ensure healthy license utilization by identifying and eliminating idle or over-licensed seats to reduce operational costs
- • Maintain compliance awareness for export control attributes (ECCN/ITAR) related to access and data attributes
- • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or IT, or possess equivalent professional experience
- • Hold PTC Windchill or Creo administration certifications as a preferred qualification
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–6 years of experience in PLM/engineering applications administration, including 3+ years with Windchill and Creo
- • Hands-on expertise with Windchill EPM/WTPart, lifecycles, ACLs, WVS, vaulting/replication, and client configurations
- • Proficiency in AutoCAD (must have); experience with Creo, Ansys, MATLAB, ECAD/EDA tools, or engineering viewers
- • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash; experience with Windows administration, basic Linux, and SQL querying (Oracle, Query Builder, QML)
- • Demonstrated experience implementing Windchill Model Check and managing Creo and Windchill integrations
