📋 Description
- • Workers Comp Senior Claims Representative responsible for managing and resolving complex workers' compensation claims within assigned authority, ensuring fair and timely outcomes for all parties involved.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating claim compensability and liability, planning and conducting investigations, negotiating settlements, authorizing payments, maintaining detailed claim files, and representing the company in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
- • National Interstate, a member of Great American Insurance Group, is a respected leader in commercial transportation insurance with a strong focus on niche expertise in product design, loss control, and claim services, serving the wheels-based transportation industry since 1989.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in workers' compensation claims, develop advanced negotiation and analytical skills, and contribute to a culture of integrity, transparency, and collaboration while working either hybrid (4 days onsite in Richfield, OH) or fully remote from PA, NJ, or MA.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
- • Preferred: Completion of or progress toward Associate in Claims (AIC) or similar professional designation
- • Preferred: Experience handling workers' compensation claims in PA, NJ, or MA
- • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims procedures
- • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships, handle confidential information, and manage caseloads effectively
