- ⢠As a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster specializing in Virginia jurisdiction lost-time claims, you will play a critical role in supporting injured workers and ensuring fair, timely resolution of claims for Sedgwickâs dedicated clients. Your work directly impacts the well-being of individuals navigating workplace injuries while upholding the companyâs commitment to empathy, accountability, and service excellence.
- ⢠You will analyze and process complex workersâ compensation claims by investigating incident details, gathering medical and vocational information, and determining appropriate exposure and benefits in accordance with Virginia state regulations and client-specific requirements.
- ⢠Your day-to-day responsibilities include negotiating settlements within your authority, communicating claim status and next steps clearly and compassionately to claimants, employers, and medical providers, and ensuring all actions align with service expectations and industry best practices.
- ⢠You will report claims to excess carriers when applicable, respond promptly to requests for direction, and maintain accurate, detailed documentation throughout the claim lifecycle to support compliance and audit readiness.

- ⢠Minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- ⢠High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelorâs degree from an accredited institution preferred
- ⢠Demonstrated knowledge of Virginia Workers Compensation laws, regulations, and jurisdictional procedures
