  • • As a Zippy Guide (Loan Officer), you will play a crucial role in transforming the manufactured home financing experience by helping homebuyers navigate the loan process with transparency, efficiency, and care through Zippy’s technology-driven approach, directly contributing to the company’s mission of making homeownership more accessible and affordable.
  • • You will originate consumer loans by taking applications, setting clear process expectations, and preparing loan files for successful handoffs, while serving as a trusted guide and advocate for consumers throughout their journey.
  • • Day to day, you will communicate effectively with applicants and partners via phone, email, and text, ensuring timely and empathetic engagement at every stage of the loan process.
  • • You will share best practices by contributing insights, lessons learned, and challenges to a growing team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs), fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
  • • You will provide feedback to engineering teams to advocate for business and consumer needs, directly influencing the continuous improvement of Zippy’s technology platform.
  • • You will optimize internal processes by focusing on efficiency, risk management, and delivering best-in-class consumer outcomes, helping to streamline operations and reduce friction in the lending workflow.
  • • You will manage risk as the front line for risk decision-making on new loans, applying sound judgment to ensure compliance and protect both the company and the consumer.
  • • You will join a remote-first team spread across multiple states including Dallas, Houston, Knoxville, Omaha, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and beyond, working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment backed by institutional investors.
  • • You will be part of a company headquartered in Dallas, TX, with an office in Tempe, AZ, dedicated to enhancing consumers' financial outcomes and tackling the affordable housing crisis through innovative technology and solutions.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in manufactured home financing, strengthen your consultative sales and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience shaping technology through direct feedback to product teams.
  • • You will have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles, contribute to process innovation, and make a meaningful impact on over 22 million Americans living in manufactured homes by expanding access to fair, fast, and simple home loans.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of experience in mortgage or equity sales
  • • Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in relevant states (or willingness to obtain)
  • • Strong communication skills – excellent written, oral, and interpersonal abilities
  • • Tech-savvy – proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools
  • • Self-starter – ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • • Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant work experience
