📋 Description

• As a Solutions Engineer at ShipBob, you will play a critical role in bridging technical expertise with merchant success by understanding the unique strategic needs of mid-market e-commerce clients and delivering tailored technical solutions that drive growth and operational efficiency. You will act as a trusted advisor, aligning business objectives with ShipBob’s platform capabilities to ensure measurable impact and long-term merchant success.
• Day to day, you will: architect merchant success by collaborating with clients to deeply understand their business goals and craft tailored solutions; deliver sales excellence by supporting key sales stages including demos, warehouse tours, RFPs, and technical evaluations; own technical discovery by immersing yourself in merchants’ technical environments to uncover opportunities and anticipate challenges; drive strategic rollouts by developing and communicating clear technical vision and implementation roadmaps; lead cross-functional execution by partnering with Implementation Specialists to ensure flawless delivery; stay ahead of the curve by maintaining deep expertise in industry trends and ShipBob’s evolving offerings; and champion product innovation by evangelizing new features and serving as a feedback conduit to product strategy.
• You will join ShipBob’s growing Revenue team, working closely with Sales, Implementation, and Success teams to ensure seamless merchant experiences. • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in technical solutioning for e-commerce logistics, strengthen your ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical architectures, and grow your influence across cross-functional teams. You will have the opportunity to shape how ShipBob’s platform evolves through direct merchant feedback and contribute to the company’s high-performance culture where accountability, innovation, and ownership are valued and rewarded.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience supporting merchants in SaaS and e-commerce environments, blending technical acumen with customer-centric problem solving.
• Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable, technical solutions that drive merchant growth and operational efficiency.
• Comfortable navigating APIs, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby), while articulating how technical decisions align with business outcomes.
• Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation to deliver seamless merchant experiences.
• Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills to build trust with merchants, simplify technical concepts, and drive alignment across diverse audiences.
• Experience building repeatable frameworks, documentation, and best practices that scale Sales Engineering operations and improve team efficiency.

• Transparent total compensation package with base pay range of $83,078 – $138,463 and eligibility for discretionary bonus based on company performance
