  • • As an Account Director at GTT Communications, Inc., you will be at the vanguard of our sales efforts, tasked with identifying and securing new enterprise clients while simultaneously deepening relationships within our existing customer base.
  • • This pivotal role demands a proactive and strategic approach to sales, focusing on understanding the intricate business challenges faced by potential and current clients.
  • • Your primary objective will be to expertly align GTT's comprehensive suite of networking and security as a service solutions with these identified needs, ultimately driving revenue growth and expanding GTT's market presence.
  • • A significant portion of your responsibilities (approximately 80%) will involve targeting and engaging prospective new customers, initiating crucial conversations that lead to the creation of new sales opportunities.
  • • You will be instrumental in building a robust prospect pipeline from the ground up, leveraging your own initiative and GTT's extensive marketing support to drive prospecting initiatives.
  • • The remaining 20% of your focus will be dedicated to penetrating existing client accounts, uncovering latent pain points, and identifying further opportunities for GTT to provide value and expand our service offerings.
  • • You will be responsible for selling GTT’s full spectrum of products and solutions, including cutting-edge connectivity options such as SD-WAN, MPLS, and high-speed internet, as well as advanced security services.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves profiling key target customers, identifying organizations with established decision-making units and a significant international footprint, aligning with GTT's global capabilities.
  • • You will be expected to confidently and effectively present GTT's innovative solutions to both customers and prospects, articulating the unique value proposition and technical advantages.
  • • This role requires a deep understanding of applicable sales methodologies, such as SPIN or Miller Heiman, to guide your approach and ensure a structured, effective sales process.
  • • You will need to demonstrate a strong business acumen, understanding business concepts, tools, and processes to make sound decisions and apply this knowledge effectively across diverse situations.
  • • Exceptional communication skills are paramount, enabling you to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication behaviors.
  • • The ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner is essential for this role.
  • • You will be expected to exhibit strong problem-solving skills, applying knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process challenges.

  • • You will be responsible for driving opportunities from the initial discovery phase through development and ultimately to a successful close, managing the entire sales cycle.

  • • You will collaborate closely with GTT's marketing team, utilizing available support to enhance prospecting efforts and generate qualified leads.

  • • A solid understanding of Cloud, Networking, or Communications technologies is necessary to effectively communicate the value of GTT's portfolio.

  • • Strong understanding of Cloud, Networking, or Communications technologies, with the ability to discuss technical topics confidently.
  • • Proven ability to engage with C-level executives, understand their business challenges, and translate needs into GTT solution benefits.
