  • • As an Account Director, Client Strategy at Directive Consulting, you will be entrusted with the ultimate strategic and commercial stewardship of a select portfolio of our most valuable and complex client relationships. This pivotal role operates at the dynamic nexus of high-level strategy, aggressive growth initiatives, and meticulous execution, positioning you as the primary point of accountability for client retention, expansion, and the overall client experience across a portfolio valued at over $2 million.
  • • You will serve as a deeply trusted advisor to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders within our client organizations, translating their ambitious business objectives into actionable, integrated marketing strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in aligning our diverse internal teams – including Paid Media, SEO & Content, CRO, Creative, and RevOps – around unified, measurable business outcomes that drive tangible growth and success for our clients.
  • • Operating with a high degree of autonomy, commercial rigor, and undeniable executive presence, you will own the entire lifecycle of the client relationship. This encompasses everything from initial strategic alignment and ongoing performance management to renewal negotiations and identifying opportunities for expansion. Your direct influence will be instrumental in shaping and driving Directive’s Net Revenue Retention (NRR), a key indicator of our sustained growth and client satisfaction.
  • • **Own Strategic Client Relationships:** You will be the senior, day-to-day strategic lead for our enterprise and high-growth clients. This involves cultivating and nurturing executive-level communication, fostering deep understanding of their business challenges and opportunities, and consistently demonstrating the long-term value of our partnership. Your ability to build rapport and trust at the highest levels will be paramount.
  • • **Drive Retention & Expansion:** A core responsibility will be to develop, implement, and refine sophisticated renewal, upsell, and cross-sell strategies. These strategies must be directly tied to measurable NRR performance, ensuring that our growth is both sustainable and mutually beneficial. You will proactively identify opportunities to deepen our engagement and expand the scope of services where it aligns with client objectives and drives significant impact.
  • • **Architect Cross-Channel Strategy:** You will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of integrated growth plans that span across Paid Media, SEO/Content, CRO, Creative, and RevOps. Your role is to ensure that these diverse channels are not only executed cohesively but also report on their collective impact, demonstrating a unified approach to achieving client goals.
  • • **Commercial Ownership:** This role demands robust commercial acumen. You will own the financial health of your client portfolio, including accurate forecasting, maintaining healthy profit margins, diligent scope control to prevent over-delivery without commensurate value, and leading complex renewal negotiations. Your ability to balance client satisfaction with business profitability is critical.
  • • **Lead QBRs & Executive Storytelling:** You will master the art of translating complex performance data into clear, compelling business narratives. These presentations, particularly during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), will connect marketing execution directly to tangible revenue impact and strategic business outcomes, ensuring clients understand the value they are receiving.
  • • **Cross-Functional Leadership:** Success in this role requires seamless collaboration. You will partner closely with channel leads, Project Managers, and operations teams to align priorities, proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, and uphold Directive’s commitment to delivery excellence across all client engagements.
  • • **Risk & Escalation Management:** A key aspect of your role is proactive risk management. You will develop a keen eye for identifying potential client issues or dissatisfaction early on and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges before they require escalation to executive leadership, ensuring a smooth and positive client experience.
  • • **Team Leadership:** You will play a vital role in mentoring and developing junior strategists, analysts, and project teams. Your guidance will focus on elevating their strategic thinking capabilities and instilling a strong sense of commercial accountability, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within your client teams.
