- • As an Account Director for Financial Services Industry (FSI) in Japan, you will be a key driver in helping enterprise customers understand and deploy OpenAI’s advanced AI models to transform their business and users, directly contributing to OpenAI’s mission of building safe AGI that benefits all of humanity.
- • You will manage approximately a dozen key FSI accounts, leading the full sales cycle from pipeline generation to closure, owning consumption revenue targets and forecasts, analyzing account metrics to deliver insights, and collaborating with research, engineering, solutions, marketing, finance, and product teams to build and execute complex customer programs.
- • You will join OpenAI’s Go To Market (GTM) team—a cross-functional group of Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership professionals—working in Tokyo with a hybrid model (3 days in-office) to bring AI solutions to market while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and company culture development.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise AI sales, strategic account planning, and technical storytelling, while influencing product roadmap through market intelligence and building scalable systems that accelerate OpenAI’s impact in one of the world’s most dynamic financial hubs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service in the Financial Services Industry
- • Native-level Japanese language proficiency
- • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets >$1M per year for more than 3 years
- • Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies
- • Background working directly with C-level executives
- • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both customers and internal stakeholders
