- • Serve as the primary point of contact for maritime clients across Africa, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the maritime, energy, and commodities sectors.
- • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire new enterprise clients by leveraging Kpler’s global trade intelligence platform and maritime data insights.
- • Conduct in-depth discovery calls and product demonstrations to understand client needs and align Kpler’s solutions with their operational and strategic objectives.
- • Collaborate with internal teams including data analysts, customer success, and product specialists to tailor solutions and ensure seamless client onboarding.
- • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to negotiation, closing, and contract execution for maritime clients in Africa.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all client interactions, pipeline stages, and sales forecasts to support team reporting and strategic planning.
- • Stay current on regional maritime market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity across African ports, shipping lanes, and trade flows.
- • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at shipping companies, port authorities, commodity traders, and logistics providers.
- • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking forums across Africa to expand Kpler’s visibility and generate qualified leads.
- • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for new account acquisition in the designated maritime territory.
- • Provide feedback to product and data teams based on client pain points and market demands to help shape future platform enhancements.
- • Work closely with regional sales managers to align on territory planning, resource allocation, and sales enablement initiatives.
- • Represent Kpler’s brand with professionalism and integrity, consistently communicating the value of real-time, actionable maritime intelligence to prospective clients.

- • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, specifically within maritime, logistics, energy, or commodities industries
- • Demonstrated experience acquiring new enterprise clients across African markets
- • Strong understanding of global trade dynamics, shipping routes, and maritime supply chains
- • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales pipeline management
- • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- • Willingness to travel extensively within Africa to meet clients and attend industry events
