  • • Serve as a self-sufficient, dynamic account partner for pharmaceutical clients, delivering strategic counsel to navigate the evolving healthcare landscape and drive brand growth.
  • • Establish and maintain direct, senior-level client relationships, ensuring positive and effective client/agency partnerships through consistent communication and trusted advisory.
  • • Lead account strategy development aligned with client business objectives, translating complex healthcare market dynamics into actionable marketing and commercialization plans.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Avalere’s Advisory, Medical, and Marketing teams to deliver integrated, data-informed solutions that improve patient access and outcomes.
  • • Manage end-to-end client deliverables, including campaign planning, messaging strategy, and performance evaluation, ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
  • • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, anticipating needs, resolving issues proactively, and identifying opportunities for account expansion and service enhancement.
  • • Lead and mentor junior account team members, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality client service delivery.
  • • Stay current on pharmaceutical industry trends, regulatory changes, payer dynamics, and patient journey insights to inform strategic recommendations.
  • • Coordinate internal resources to meet client deadlines and deliverables, ensuring seamless execution across multidisciplinary teams.
  • • Contribute to new business development by identifying upsell opportunities, participating in client pitches, and supporting proposal development.
  • • Maintain deep understanding of client brand portfolios, competitive landscapes, and therapeutic areas to provide informed, context-rich guidance.
  • • Ensure all client interactions and deliverables reflect Avalere Health’s mission to reach every patient possible through equitable, patient-centered solutions.
  • • Adapt work location flexibly between in-office collaboration hubs (e.g., Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York) and remote settings based on team and client needs.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience as an Account Director or similar senior client-facing role in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences agency
  • • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior-level pharmaceutical marketing executives
  • • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry
  • • Experience leading integrated marketing and commercialization campaigns in a regulated environment
  • • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • • Ability to manage multiple clients and complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
