📋 Description

• As an Account Director for Startups at OpenAI, you will own relationships with top startup customers and support them in building successfully on the OpenAI platform, playing a critical role in helping disruptive AI applications emerge from the startup ecosystem.
• Day to day, you will manage a portfolio of startup accounts, develop and execute comprehensive account plans, partner with solutions architects to drive technical engagements, own and manage consumption revenue targets and forecasts, analyze key account metrics to generate insights, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, engineering, support, marketing, finance, and people operations teams.
• You will join OpenAI’s Go To Market (GTM) team, which brings together Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership professionals to help customers leverage and deploy OpenAI’s AI products, all in service of the mission to build safe artificial general intelligence that benefits all of humanity.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise sales and startup ecosystems, shape OpenAI’s startup strategy, influence product development through customer feedback, and grow as a strategic leader by driving long-term account success and contributing to corporate strategy in a high-impact, mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years selling platform-as-a-service, cloud, or other API products
• Experience working in or around the startup ecosystem, preferably as a founder, employee, or someone who worked with startup customers
• Experience supporting the growth and product development of fast-growing, high-performance companies
• Experience working directly with C-level executives and startup founders
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
• Skill in gathering, distilling, and processing complex market intelligence
