- • The Account Executive increases and maintains permissions revenue from pharmaceutical agencies and other accounts via the RightsLink sales channel and direct customer contact, playing a key role in driving Wiley’s global content licensing strategy.
- • Day to day, the person will respond to inbound sales inquiries, manage customer requests using RightsLink, PLS Clear, Kopinor, UpToDate, and Salesforce, process orders, resolve inquiries, manage a portfolio of permissions accounts, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, monitor transactional activity for new business, assist with prospecting, conduct basic contract negotiations, serve as an escalation point for urgent matters, research copyright ownership, and maintain accurate data in CRM and rights management systems.
- • The team operates within Wiley’s global licensing organization, supporting annual permissions revenue targets across a diverse content portfolio while collaborating with Account Managers and leadership on complex licensing agreements and market expansion.
- • In this role, the person can develop expertise in content licensing, pharmaceutical permissions, and sales operations within a global publishing leader, build strategic account management skills, and contribute to revenue growth while gaining exposure to international markets and innovative licensing models.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a relevant technical, scientific, or business field preferred
- • Experience in sales, account management, licensing, or customer relationship management
- • Proven experience negotiating and closing licensing or commercial agreements
- • Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship-building abilities
