  • • Own the full sales cycle for commercial transportation insurance, from first conversation through signed binder and renewal. You will prospect regional and national trucking companies, freight brokers, last-mile delivery fleets, and logistics providers, uncovering risk exposures that range from $500K to $50M in annual premium.
  • • Build and manage a robust pipeline using Salesforce, HubSpot, and Signers’ proprietary CRM. Expect to carry 150–200 active opportunities at any given time, logging every call, email, and meeting so that underwriting, claims, and marketing teams can act on real-time data.
  • • Conduct deep discovery calls with CFOs, Risk Managers, and Fleet Directors to understand driver classifications, DOT safety scores, cargo types, radius of operations, and loss history. Translate technical findings into concise submissions that our in-house transportation underwriters can quote within 24–48 hours.
  • • Present tailored insurance programs—Auto Liability, Non-Trucking Liability, Motor Truck Cargo, Physical Damage, and Workers’ Comp—via Zoom, phone, or on-site visits. You will negotiate pricing, deductibles, and coverage enhancements while educating clients on FMCSA regulations, CSA scores, and emerging telematics trends.
  • • Collaborate daily with a cross-functional squad of underwriters, actuaries, claims advocates, and loss-control engineers. You will host weekly pipeline reviews, flag high-severity claims, and co-create risk-improvement roadmaps that reduce loss ratios and justify premium credits at renewal.
  • • Drive revenue growth by identifying upsell and cross-sell moments within existing accounts. For example, a client who adds a temperature-controlled division may need reefer breakdown coverage; a 50-truck fleet expanding into Canada will require cross-border filings. Your proactive outreach can increase account revenue by 30–40% year-over-year.
  • • Champion Signers’ mission of ā€œinsurance with impact.ā€ You will participate in quarterly service projects—such as delivering meals to truck-stop communities or sponsoring CDL training scholarships—while sharing stories on LinkedIn to humanize the brand and attract mission-aligned prospects.
  • • Leverage Signers’ tech stack to shorten sales cycles. Use electronic signature platforms, digital loss-run retrieval, and API integrations with carrier raters to quote and bind coverage in hours, not weeks. You will beta-test new AI-driven risk-scoring tools and provide feedback to the product team.
  • • Track leading indicators—call-to-meeting conversion, quote-to-bind ratio, average deal size, and client NPS—and iterate weekly. You will present monthly board-ready dashboards that show how your efforts reduce client total cost of risk while growing Signers’ gross written premium.
  • • Mentor junior Account Executives and interns through ride-along calls, role-play sessions, and win-loss debriefs. Your coaching will elevate the entire sales floor and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement that has fueled Signers’ 30% CAGR since 2016.
  • • Stay ahead of market trends—electric trucks, autonomous last-mile robots, nuclear verdicts, and ESG mandates—so you can position Signers as the thought leader clients call first when the regulatory or technological landscape shifts.

  • • 3+ years of commercial insurance sales experience with a documented track record of closing transportation accounts totaling at least $1M in annual premium
  • • Valid Property & Casualty license in your state of residence (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • • Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM; comfort manipulating spreadsheets and creating executive-level pipeline reports
  • • Deep familiarity with DOT regulations, CSA scoring, and common transportation endorsements (MCS-90, Form E, cargo riders)
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or related field preferred but not required if experience is exceptional
