  • • Own the end-to-end sales cycle for national and regional multifamily developers, owners, and general contractors—prospecting, bidding, negotiating, and closing deals that routinely exceed $5 M in annual volume while protecting targeted gross-margin goals.
  • • Build and execute a data-driven strategic account plan for each assigned client; map decision-makers, project pipelines, and buying cycles, then create customized product bundles, private-label packages, and logistics solutions that position Floor & Decor as the category-killer flooring partner.
  • • Partner with the Senior Director of Commercial to integrate multifamily strategy into the broader commercial roadmap; provide monthly rolling forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and annual budget recommendations that influence inventory, pricing, and marketing investments across 100+ stores.
  • • Lead cross-functional squads (Inside Commercial, Category Management, Supply Chain, Credit, Visual Merchandising) to launch new properties on time and on budget; remove blockers, expedite sample requests, coordinate nationwide deliveries, and ensure post-install service recovery that drives repeat business and Net Promoter Score above 70.
  • • Hunt for whitespace: leverage Salesforce CRM, Dodge reports, and CoStar to identify emerging developers, REITs, and third-party managers entering your regions; convert cold leads into qualified opportunities through consultative discovery, technical education, and value-engineered proposals that reduce total installed cost.
  • • Serve as the voice of the customer inside the organization; distill field intelligence on design trends, sustainability mandates, and competitive pricing into concise briefs that shape new SKU development, exclusive brand partnerships, and omnichannel promotions.
  • • Prepare polished RFP/RFQ responses, digital pitch decks, and AIA-compliant bid packages within tight municipal and GSA deadlines; secure internal sign-off on pricing, compliance, and risk terms while maintaining audit-ready documentation in SharePoint.
  • • Host and exhibit at NMHC, NAA, and ICSC trade events; coordinate regional lunch-and-learns, CEU-accredited seminars, and jobsite ā€œlunch-and-sweepā€ demos that educate architects, installers, and procurement teams on the performance advantages of porcelain tile, SPC rigid core, and waterproof laminate systems.
  • • Mentor junior account executives and inside sales reps; share best practices on objection handling, margin defense, and contract language that limit liability and enhance renewal rates.
  • • Maintain disciplined remote-work hygiene: update pipeline stages weekly, log call reports within 24 hours, and achieve 40% travel efficiency (Mon-Thu) to cover ground while protecting work-life balance.

  • • 5+ years of documented success selling flooring, hard-surface finishes, or allied building products to national multifamily accounts with annual personal quota ≄ $5 M.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred; high-school diploma required.
  • • Expert command of Salesforce or comparable CRM; proficiency in Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint storytelling, and SharePoint document control.
  • • Proven track record responding to RFPs, negotiating multi-year national agreements, and managing long (6-24 month) construction project life cycles.
  • • Ability to travel up to 40% (including overnights) and work flexible hours to match client time zones.
