- • As an Account Executive for Defence & Intelligence in France, you will drive Planet’s government sales pipeline and expand business within the Ministère des Armées and Armées Françaises, directly contributing to the company’s mission of using satellite data to solve global challenges.
- • You will prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close medium to large deals, manage the full sales cycle including forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce, collaborate with solution engineering and customer success teams, and develop tailored presentations and proposals for government prospects.
- • Planet is a global leader in Earth observation, operating the largest constellation of imaging satellites and delivering data through a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian clients, with a people-first culture and remote-friendly workforce across multiple countries.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in selling complex geospatial solutions to defense and intelligence clients, strengthen your ability to navigate government procurement processes, and grow your impact by helping Planet expand its presence in the French and European government sectors.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate professional experience
- • 6+ years of experience selling software solutions and SaaS with a demonstrated track record of success
- • 6+ years’ experience selling to government customers, including understanding government sales cycles and navigation of procurement processes
- • Proven success winning business with the Ministère des Armées and Armées Françaises
- • Deep understanding of military operations, planning, and intelligence support to military commanders
- • Excellent relationships across French defense agencies and the partner ecosystem
- • Ability to satisfy French nationality and security clearance requirements
- • Fluent/native French speaker with excellent communication skills
- • Self-starter capable of working independently under tight deadlines in a startup environment
- • Strong negotiation, persuasion, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
- • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems
