đź“‹ Description

  • • As an Account Executive for Tarkett in Edmonton, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and expanding market share within your designated territory. This pivotal role involves a dual focus on cultivating new business opportunities and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with existing clientele. You will be the primary point of contact, representing Tarkett's comprehensive portfolio of commercial soft surface and resilient flooring solutions, tailored to meet diverse application needs, aesthetic preferences, and budgetary constraints.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a proactive sales approach, including consistent daily sales calls, strategic relationship building with current customers, and relentless prospecting for viable new accounts. A core objective is to ensure that Tarkett's innovative products and exceptional services not only meet but consistently exceed customer expectations, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • • You will be expected to develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of Tarkett's overarching business direction, its core mission, and its strategic operating principles. This knowledge will empower you to effectively communicate the company's value proposition and align solutions with client objectives.
  • • A key responsibility is the development and prioritization of your territory account list. This involves identifying and ranking potential clients based on their annuity account potential, projected sales volume, and the size of potential projects, ensuring a strategic allocation of your sales efforts.
  • • You will actively identify new project opportunities through a variety of channels. This includes diligent market research, strategic networking within the industry, targeted cold-calling, and deepening relationships with existing clients to uncover new needs and projects.
  • • A crucial aspect of the role is working directly with clients to precisely identify the most suitable product solutions for their specific applications. You will collaborate closely with Architecture & Design (A&D) and distribution sales teams to effectively convert transactional opportunities into significant sales and, where possible, establish long-term annuity standardization programs.
  • • Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database is paramount. You will consistently log all pertinent customer, project, product, and pricing information, ensuring data integrity for reporting and strategic decision-making.
  • • You will be responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding established financial and other key performance objectives (KPIs) for your territory.
  • • Developing and managing robust business plans for distribution partners and flooring contractors will be essential to drive mutual success and market penetration.
  • • Crafting compelling proposals will require a keen understanding of market pricing strategies and the effective utilization of available purchase vehicles, such as Contracts, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and Buying Agreements.
  • • You will meticulously review daily order entries, verifying customer and segment data for accuracy, and ensuring that shipments align with clients' expected timelines and requirements.
  • • Providing regular, insightful weekly sales and market updates to Regional and Territory leaders is a critical communication function. These updates should include competitive activity, emerging product trends, promotional effectiveness, and progress towards defined KPIs.
  • • Following up on installation schedules and conducting post-installation inspections are vital steps to guarantee complete customer satisfaction and identify any potential areas for improvement.
  • • You will proactively manage any quality issues that arise with customers, facilitating swift and effective solutions, whether resolved locally or in conjunction with operational management at division headquarters.
  • • Developing and executing territory-specific promotions and merchandising programs will be key to driving demand and increasing Tarkett's visibility.
  • • Participating in and executing sales blitzes and product launches will be necessary to generate immediate sales impact and introduce new offerings to the market.
  • • Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with key internal stakeholders, including fellow Account Executives, segment-specific marketing teams, the broader marketing department, and customer service, is crucial for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • • Representing Tarkett with the utmost professionalism when engaging with contractors, distributors, architects, design firms, and end-users is non-negotiable, reinforcing the company's brand reputation.
  • • You will be expected to perform all other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's overall success.
