- • As an Account Executive III at Velera, you will be instrumental in elevating our relationships with the largest and most strategically vital financial institutions, transforming them from clients into trusted partners and consulted advisors.
- • Your primary objective is to cultivate an environment of unparalleled loyalty, advocacy, revenue growth, and dominant market share within your assigned portfolio of financial institutions.
- • This role demands a sophisticated understanding and application of strategic planning, enabling you to collaborate with financial institutions to define their goals and then orchestrate Velera's resources – our top talent and innovative solutions – to achieve those objectives.
- • You will be the primary enterprise relationship manager, engaging proactively with senior executives through onsite visits and other strategic touchpoints to identify and develop opportunities that deepen the partnership and enhance portfolio performance.
- • A critical aspect of your role involves consistently delivering comprehensive Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) to your clients, meticulously demonstrating the tangible value of Velera's products and solutions.
- • This includes actively participating in strategic planning sessions, leveraging your broad perspective to offer relevant expertise on payment and e-commerce industry trends.

- • A strategic mindset is paramount, enabling you to identify growth opportunities while employing a consultative sales approach that ensures credit union business objectives are met and payment portfolio performance metrics are optimized.
- • You will continuously evaluate market intelligence, identifying potential impacts on Velera’s product offerings or sales strategies, and reporting significant industry changes to Velera management.
- • A key responsibility includes preparing compelling proposals, negotiating contractual relationships, and proposing and negotiating new and renewal term agreements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all pricing comparisons, proformas, and program analyses.
- • You will be responsible for maintaining and growing the revenue within your assigned book of business, proactively generating lead opportunities for additional line of business sales.
- • Meeting or exceeding established revenue growth goals through the sale of new products and services, and by enhancing overall portfolio performance, will be a core measure of your success.
- • Developing, solidifying, and maintaining strong account relationships that translate into excellent financial institution satisfaction scores, as evidenced by periodic surveys, is crucial.
- • You will serve as the primary management point of contact for your assigned financial institutions, addressing strategic initiatives and escalated issue resolution, while also supporting their designated executive sponsor and acting as an internal advocate at Velera.
- • You will actively participate in and assist with various regional meetings designed to promote Velera’s products and services.
- • Preparing and delivering effective and influential presentations at Velera-sponsored events, financial institution staff and Board of Directors meetings, advisory groups, and other functions as required, will be a regular duty.
- • Maintaining open lines of communication with the VP of Account Management and SVP of Account Management, and promptly reporting any contract renewals that are in jeopardy, along with a clear plan of action for retention, is essential.
- • Timely escalation of potential relationship issues to appropriate internal Velera leaders is required to ensure proper ownership and accountability for resolution.
- • You will actively review the client landscape, recommending, developing, and implementing new and creative approaches to growing Velera’s business, and proactively managing and prioritizing sales leads.
- • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payment industry trends, innovations, and Velera’s products and solutions, including specific knowledge of card, e-commerce, payments, and banking industries related to Visa, MasterCard, Fiserv, Velera, and competitors, is a continuous requirement.
- • Collaborating with the product team on new product development opportunities for financial institutions and consumers, and coordinating interdivisional and interdepartmental communications to ensure seamless client service with both new and existing products/solutions, will be part of your role.
- • You must interact positively and professionally in all engagements with Velera staff, clients, and business constituents.
- • In conjunction with assigned Service Executives, you will serve as a liaison for product implementations, program start-ups, and other major projects, maintaining close working relationships with internal departments to ensure smooth and open communication.
- • You will be responsible for maintaining and updating account plans for all assigned financial institutions within Salesforce, ensuring opportunities are current and accurate records for your assigned portfolio are kept.
- • Ensuring information is current and entered into Velera’s client database in a timely fashion is a key administrative task.
- • Performing other duties as assigned will round out your responsibilities in this dynamic role.
