  • • As an Account Executive for Nelnet Business Services, you will drive retention, growth, and strategic account service for higher education institutions across the Great Lakes/Midwest region, directly contributing to the company’s mission of creating opportunities in education and faith-based communities.
  • • Day to day, you will retain and grow existing client accounts, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, conduct annual on-campus reviews, collaborate with internal teams on product strategy, manage client communications via Salesforce, and travel 25%-30% to maintain strong relationships and gather market intelligence.
  • • Nelnet Business Services, a division of Nelnet, Inc., serves over 1,300 higher education institutions, 11,500 K-12 schools, and 3,500 churches with payment technology, education services, and learning management solutions, fostering long-term partnerships through innovation and a culture of service.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in higher education ERP systems and payment solutions, develop strategic account plans, influence product development through client feedback, and build a track record of revenue growth and client satisfaction in a mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business and/or technology
  • • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and account management experience
  • • Experience with billing, payment processing, ecommerce services, and higher education ERP systems (e.g., Oracle PeopleSoft, Ellucian Banner, Workday, Jenzabar) is preferred
