- • As a Sales Engineer for the US Public Sector at Menlo Security, you will play a critical role in enabling government and public sector organizations to securely connect, communicate, and collaborate without compromise by evangelizing the Menlo Security Isolation Platform and driving technical sales success in high-stakes environments.
- • You will partner closely with regional sales teams and channel partners to deliver consultative, solution-oriented pre-sales support that aligns technical capabilities with mission-critical business and security objectives across federal, state, and local government accounts.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing expert product support to prospects, customers, and partners; mapping technical and business value of the Isolation Platform to key public sector goals such as zero trust, compliance, and threat prevention; coordinating and managing Proof of Concept (POC) deliveries to demonstrate platform value in complex, regulated environments; supporting regional marketing initiatives and partner events; identifying new business opportunities; and cultivating long-term strategic relationships with public sector stakeholders.
- • You will deliver both high-level executive briefings and deep-dive technical presentations tailored to diverse audiences — including CISOs, IT architects, and procurement teams — ensuring clarity on how Menlo’s solution addresses unique public sector challenges like legacy system integration, remote work security, and supply chain risk.
- • As a technical evangelist, you will represent Menlo Security at industry events, developer conferences, cybersecurity summits, and government-focused forums, sharing thought leadership through speaking engagements and by creating authoritative content such as white papers, blog posts, and technical guides that educate and influence decision-makers.
- • You will maintain rigorous pre-sales engagement processes in Salesforce (SFDC), ensuring accurate tracking of RFIs, RFPs, POCs, and customer interactions while contributing to continuous improvement of sales enablement materials and methodologies.
- • Working cross-functionally with Product Management, you will provide valuable field feedback from customers and partners to help shape product roadmap priorities, ensuring the platform evolves to meet real-world public sector needs.

- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in browser-based isolation technology, zero trust architectures, and secure access service edge (SASE) concepts while honing your ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes for some of the nation’s most critical institutions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales engineering, systems engineering, or technical pre-sales role within the IT or cybersecurity industry.
- • Strong expertise in core security technologies including SMTP, NGFW, SAML, ADFS, SSL, and web proxy technologies, with proven ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot these solutions in enterprise environments.
- • Demonstrated experience managing technical responses to RFIs and RFPs, including maintaining pre-sales engagement processes and progress tracking in Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms.
