  • • As an Account Executive, Travel at Airwallex, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in the global travel industry by helping travel businesses modernize how they move money across borders. This role is critical to Airwallex’s mission of building the unified payments and financial platform of the future, directly contributing to revenue growth and market penetration in a high-value vertical.
  • • You will lead the full sales cycle for SMB travel clients, from initial prospecting and outreach to negotiation, closing, and post-sale enablement, ensuring customers fully leverage Airwallex’s platform to solve complex financial challenges like cross-border payouts, FX risk, and fragmented payment flows.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying high-potential travel prospects through targeted outreach, industry events, and strategic networking; building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline; delivering consultative, solution-based pitches tailored to travel industry pain points; negotiating and closing deals with key decision-makers; collaborating with internal teams (legal, finance, strategy) to structure compliant and scalable partnerships; and continuously refining your approach by sharing best practices and contributing to team-wide sales strategies.
  • • You will also explore emerging sub-verticals within travel to uncover new growth opportunities, act as a trusted advisor to clients by translating technical platform capabilities into clear business value, and help elevate Airwallex’s reputation as a leading provider of financial infrastructure for global travel companies.
  • • The SME & Growth Business team is a mission-driven, collaborative group of financial and sales experts dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises to succeed in the global economy. Operating across 26 global offices with a culture of innovation, ownership, and first-principles thinking, the team combines deep industry expertise with a growth mindset to deliver tailored financial solutions that unlock new revenue streams for clients.
