đź“‹ Description

  • • Stacker Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing our valued clients, ensuring their success, and driving retention. As an integral member of the account management department, you will report directly to the Head of Accounts, taking ownership of the entire client lifecycle. This encompasses everything from the initial onboarding process, through ongoing performance analysis, to the successful renewal of their partnerships.
  • • You will be assigned a dedicated book of business and will be accountable for achieving quarterly renewal goals. This role presents a significant opportunity for growth, with built-in potential for upselling and exceeding targets, directly impacting your success and the company's revenue.
  • • The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with a strong sales acumen, someone who thrives on owning performance narratives and translating data into actionable strategies. While experience in MarTech is a plus, it is not a prerequisite. What truly matters is your deep understanding of performance metrics and your ability to work seamlessly with our internal teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
  • • This is a unique opportunity to become a foundational member of a high-growth business unit. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on our customers' success and contribute significantly to the company's long-term vision and achievements.
  • • Stacker is at the forefront of revolutionizing the traditional newswire business model, transforming how brand newsrooms and publishers connect and distribute content. Our innovative platform empowers over 100 content contributors – including brands, nonprofit newsrooms, and various other organizations – to significantly extend the reach of their content. We achieve this by facilitating seamless integration with a vast network of thousands of trusted news publishers.
  • • As a bootstrapped, rapidly expanding company, we embody resourcefulness, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to cultivating an inclusive and equitable culture. We operate as a remote-first organization, valuing autonomy, integrity, and collaborative spirit. We offer flexible work schedules, unlimited vacation time, an employee equity program, and comprehensive health and dental coverage.
  • • Our philosophy prioritizes long-term impact over short-term gains. We believe in empowering our team members with the autonomy they need to excel and providing ample opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • • Key Responsibilities will include:
  • • Overseeing the end-to-end post-sale account management for Stacker clients, ensuring a smooth and effective experience from onboarding through to campaign execution, asset delivery, and comprehensive reporting.
  • • Taking full ownership of your assigned book of business, with a clear mandate for achieving renewal targets and identifying opportunities for upsells.
  • • Diligently tracking and analyzing both client and campaign health using a suite of martech and analytics tools, such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
  • • Collaborating closely with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to interpret complex performance data and articulate the impact of SEO and distribution strategies to clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight.
  • • Proactively developing and presenting strategic recommendations designed to enhance client performance and empower them to surpass their content marketing objectives.
  • • Working cross-functionally with our Research, Editorial, Distribution, and Product teams to guarantee seamless campaign execution and a unified client experience.
  • • Identifying and capitalizing on proactive opportunities to expand client value, bolster retention rates, and strategically grow your assigned book of business.
  • • Serving as the primary point of contact for your clients, building strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and success with the Stacker platform.
  • • Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in digital media, content marketing, and SEO to provide informed and strategic guidance to clients.
  • • Contributing to the continuous improvement of Stacker's account management processes and client success strategies.
  • • Championing the Stacker platform and its value proposition to existing and potential clients, fostering a deep understanding of its benefits and capabilities.
  • • Managing client expectations effectively, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of any issues or concerns.
  • • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing insights and best practices with colleagues.
  • • Demonstrating a strong understanding of client business objectives and aligning Stacker's services to meet those goals.
  • • Driving client advocacy and identifying opportunities for case studies and testimonials.
  • • Ensuring all client interactions are professional, timely, and aligned with Stacker's brand values.
  • • Analyzing client feedback to identify areas for product and service enhancement.
  • • Developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and how Stacker differentiates itself.
  • • Proactively managing risk within your client portfolio to ensure long-term partnership stability.
  • • Contributing to the development of client success playbooks and best practice guides.
  • • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them navigate the evolving digital media landscape.
  • • Ensuring timely and accurate forecasting of renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • • Participating in team meetings, sharing performance updates, and contributing to strategic discussions.
  • • Maintaining meticulous records of client interactions and account status within our CRM system.
  • • Continuously seeking opportunities to learn and grow within the account management and digital media space.
  • • Being a proactive problem-solver, anticipating client needs and addressing them before they arise.
  • • Ultimately, you will be instrumental in ensuring our clients achieve maximum value from Stacker, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 4 years of experience in account management, client success, digital strategy, content marketing, or SEO. Experience within MarTech or in a performance-focused role is strongly preferred.
  • • Solid working knowledge of content SEO fundamentals, content marketing workflows, and/or digital marketing strategies. Familiarity with performance metrics and analytics is crucial.
  • • Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, coupled with the confidence to lead day-to-day client communications and strategic discussions.
  • • A tech-forward mindset with demonstrated comfort navigating and interpreting data from analytics platforms and performance dashboards (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Search Console).
  • • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • • A proactive, resourceful, and self-starting attitude, with excellent prioritization and organizational abilities to manage multiple accounts and tasks effectively.
  • • A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to high-quality execution in all aspects of client management.
  • • A genuine passion for digital media, content marketing, or journalism, demonstrating an intrinsic interest in the industry.
