đź“‹ Description
- • As an Account Manager at Kernel Medical Devices, Inc., you will own and accelerate expansion across the existing customer base, driving Net Revenue Retention by identifying growth opportunities, managing renewals, and preventing churn in a $2M+ ARR book of business focused on mid-market and enterprise clients.
- • You will execute complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery to close, partnering with Implementation/Solutions Engineers, Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership to shape expansion strategy and deliver value-based selling that positions Kernel as mission-critical infrastructure for CRM data strategy.
- • Kernel is a fast-growing Series A startup backed by top VCs from Plaid, OpenAI, and Slack, providing Agentic Company Data — an AI-native alternative to Dun & Bradstreet — used by RevOps teams at Gong, Navan, Mistral, AlphaSense, and Zip to eliminate data duplicates, fix hierarchies, and power accurate forecasting and AI deployments.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in selling to technical buyers, refine account management playbooks, run data-driven account reviews, and grow professionally by owning complex deals, influencing product roadmap, and building repeatable processes that scale with the company’s rapid growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven track record of expansion and renewal excellence: 4-7 years of B2B SaaS sales or account management experience, with at least 2 years consistently closing $100k+ deals per year and managing a book of business worth $2M+ ARR.
- • Demonstrable commercial performance: Consistently overachieving on Net Revenue Retention or expansion targets (130%+ NRR), with specific examples of closing significant expansions from existing customers.
- • Enterprise sales expertise: Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes with technical buyers, managing 6-12 month cycles, building consensus across buying committees, and closing six-figure deals.
- • Consultative selling and communication skills: Ability to execute value-based selling, uncover business pain, position technical solutions as strategic value, and communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders via verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- • Technical fluency: Comfort discussing CRM hierarchies, data hygiene, territory planning, and API integrations with RevOps and data teams, translating technical capabilities into business value for non-technical executives.
- • Entrepreneurial mindset and operational independence: Thriving in ambiguity, building processes from scratch, wearing multiple hats, and independently navigating contracts, security reviews, and legal discussions without constant leadership support.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive OTE salary range: £130k - £165K + equity
- • 24 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and 2 weeks work-from-anywhere flexibility
- • Pension plan, top-spec equipment, and access to a central London office (Borough)
- • Dinner provided when working past 6 pm, plus team events and dinners upon hitting weekly targets
- • Opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth startup at the forefront of the AI-native data revolution
