  • • Own and grow a portfolio of hospitality and retail merchants across the DACH region, acting as their strategic partner for Lightspeed Capital’s embedded-finance solutions and ensuring they have the working capital they need to scale.
  • • Drive the full outbound sales cycle—from prospecting and cold outreach to discovery, tailored solution design, negotiation, and closing—while hitting or exceeding quarterly revenue and funding-volume targets.
  • • Deep-dive into each merchant’s business model, cash-flow patterns, and growth plans to craft data-backed funding proposals that solve real pain points such as inventory purchases, renovation budgets, or seasonal staffing.
  • • Build and maintain a robust pipeline in Salesforce: log every touchpoint, forecast accurately, and use dashboards to spot trends that let you prioritise the highest-value opportunities.
  • • Collaborate daily with Customer Success, Underwriting, Risk, and Product teams to streamline onboarding, shorten time-to-fund, and turn one-time advances into long-term, repeat funding relationships.
  • • Deliver white-glove post-sale account management: monitor usage, run quarterly business reviews, surface upsell opportunities, and act as the merchant’s internal champion to ensure renewals and expansions.
  • • Translate market feedback into actionable insights for Product and Marketing, helping shape new Capital features, vertical-specific offers, and localised messaging that keep Lightspeed two steps ahead of competitors.
  • • Represent Lightspeed at trade shows, industry meetups, and partner events across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—building a personal brand that turns prospects into advocates and advocates into referral engines.
  • • Mentor junior SDRs and share winning playbooks in weekly team huddles, fostering a culture of continuous learning, healthy competition, and collective celebration of every deal won.
  • • Champion Lightspeed’s inclusive values by ensuring every merchant—regardless of size, background, or location—feels heard, respected, and empowered to grow.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of quota-carrying outbound sales and account-management experience in Payments, FinTech, or SaaS, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • • Native-level German and fluent English (written and spoken) to run consultative sales cycles and create collateral for the DACH market.
  • • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales processes, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals ranging from €10k to €500k+ in annual contract value.
  • • Comfortable interpreting financial statements, cash-flow data, and risk metrics to construct compelling funding offers for hospitality and retail operators.
  • • Nice-to-have: existing network of restaurant groups, hotel chains, or multi-location retailers in the DACH region; familiarity with POS, e-commerce, or embedded-finance ecosystems.
