- • Perform general accounting activities including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
- • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions while ensuring the integrity, completeness, accuracy, and compliance of accounting records with accepted accounting policies and principles.
- • Provide financial support through forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances from budgeted amounts.
- • Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and regulatory reports in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- • Document and assist in the execution of accounting projects, interpreting requirements and independently determining appropriate courses of action in varied and sometimes ambiguous situations.
- • Work with minimal direction, applying judgment to resolve accounting issues while seeking guidance when necessary.
- • Understand departmental, segment, and organizational strategies and operating objectives, including their interdependencies with related business areas.
- • Utilize MS Office applications, including Excel and Word, for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- • Adhere to established accounting standards and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and financial accuracy.
- • Accommodate Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST) work hours to align with team and operational needs.
- • Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required for training sessions or in-person meetings.
- • Work a scheduled 40-hour week in a remote capacity, supporting nationwide operations.

- • Participate in the hiring process using HireVue interviewing technology to assess experience and fit for the role.
- • Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree
- • 1+ years of accounting experience involving financial reporting preparation and journal entries
- • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word
- • Willingness to accommodate EST/CST work hours
