📋 Description
- • The Accountant Specialist role at Storyblok GmbH is a forward-thinking position that blends traditional accounting with technology-driven innovation, supporting the company’s mission to deliver a headless CMS platform used by global brands like Virgin Media O2, Oatly, and TomTom.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing vendor master data and onboarding, overseeing end-to-end accounts payable and procure-to-pay processes, preparing and processing payment proposals (including foreign currency), performing bank reconciliations, ensuring VAT compliance across European and UK entities, supporting Yokoy and Zip credit card workflows, and leading digital and AI-driven accounting projects in collaboration with Finance and Engineering teams.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in international VAT compliance, gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted accounting automation, strengthen your proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and develop leadership skills by documenting processes, training teammates, and driving process improvements across financial operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS or international environment with focus on AP and VAT
- • Proficient in NetSuite and advanced Excel / Google Sheets
- • Strong understanding of VAT regulations and cross-border tax considerations
- • Hands-on experience with AP, P2P, and business expense tools such as Yokoy, Concur, or Expensify
- • Austrian Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (or active willingness to obtain it) strongly preferred
