- • As Accounting Lead at Sierra Technologies, you will manage end-to-end accounting close across global entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting while supporting the company’s mission to build better, more human customer experiences with AI.
- • You will own balance sheet reconciliations, review expense accruals, prepare period-over-period analysis, assist with order-to-cash processes including invoice processing and revenue recognition under ASC606, and lead audit preparedness by coordinating with external auditors.
- • You will join a values-driven, in-person-first company headquartered in San Francisco with global offices, guided by Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family, and led by co-founders Bret Taylor (former co-CEO of Salesforce, Board Chair of OpenAI) and Clay Bavor (former Google Labs lead).
- • In this role, you will drive finance transformation by leveraging AI and modern tooling to scale accounting operations, design and automate processes from scratch, and build an AI-native finance function while gaining exposure to high-growth, regulated environments and IPO readiness initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of accounting experience with a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper growth) company backgrounds
- • Proficiency in US GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and stock-based compensation
- • Ability to identify improvement areas and build solutions using AI to drive operational efficiency
- • CPA license and/or Big 4 experience (preferred)
- • Previous IPO experience with an enterprise B2B software company (preferred)
- • Proficiency with modern office of the CFO tech stack (preferred)
