📋 Description

• As an Accounting Manager at 1st Formations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of accounting and tax services for our diverse portfolio of small business clients. • You will be the cornerstone of our accounting delivery, taking ownership of the meticulous review and final sign-off of accounts, tax returns, and VAT submissions prepared by our dedicated outsourced delivery teams. This responsibility demands a sharp eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to technical accuracy, ensuring all work adheres strictly to UK accounting standards, specifically FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• A significant part of your role will involve acting as the primary point of contact for complex technical queries. You will be expected to provide insightful and practical advice to clients, addressing their concerns with professionalism and clarity. This includes offering expert guidance on a range of crucial areas such as corporation tax, personal tax implications for business owners, strategic dividend planning, and Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance.
• You will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, comprising Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and ambitious startup founders. This management requires a proactive, client-centric approach, fostering strong relationships built on trust and reliable support. 🎯 Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum of 3-6 years of post-qualification experience gained within a UK-based accounting practice.
• Strong technical proficiency in UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105), corporate tax, personal tax, and VAT.
• Proven experience in reviewing accounts, tax returns, and VAT computations prepared by others, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and tax compliance software (e.g., TaxCalc).
